Adopt A Nursing Home) is a program of the Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities Services (DADS) that promotes volunteer involvement with the residents of Texas long-term care facilities to enrich their lives. On average, 50% of Texas nursing home residents don’t have families or surviving spouses, and about 60% have no regular visitors. With your help, Girl Scouts can make a gallant effort to break this cycle of loneliness.
