Fall 2010 Studio Studies, Schedules, and Fees
Mondays (October 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, & December 6)
NEW Me & My Grown-Up Studio: Visual Art. Children will work together with their caregivers to
explore visual art through music & story. This program is designed to introduce our youngest learners to
the wonderful world of art through multi-sensory experiences. Your child will learn about colors, shapes,
textures, & patterns. Together you will build language, develop motor skills, solve problems, and create
unique works of art and memories to cherish forever.
Instructors: Sophia Skeans & Mandy Francin
9:00 – 9:45 am – 15 month through 3 year olds & a grown up participant (Please note: This program
requires an adult to remain in the class and participate with the child.)
Harvest Time: Exploring light through visual art and movement
Pre-Studio: Visual Art & Creative Movement. Introduction of basic technique in drawing, painting,
sculpting, and collage. Creative movement explorations will be used to enhance the students’s
understanding of thematic studies of changing light and composition.*
Instructors: Sophia Skeans, Mandy Francin, & Mari Meade
3:20 – 4:15 pm – 3 & 4 year olds
Studio A: Visual Art. Exploration of mediums and exposure to techniques including basic drawing
technique with conte crayons, charcoal, and pastels. Students will also work with acrylic paints, paper,
clay, and various mixed media. Focus will be placed on landscape compositions. Children will analyze the
artists’s use of light.*
Instructors: Sophia Skeans & Mandy Francin
4:30 – 5:30 pm – 2nd grade & up
5:30 – 6:30 pm – Kindergarten & 1st grade
Studio B: Modern Dance. Introduction of basic technique with exploration of form, shape, & movement
patterns, using the study of changing light as an inspirational entry point. Children will establish nonverbal forms of communicating ideas and stories through exploration of dance and gesture.*

4:25 – 5:20 pm – Kindergarten & 1st grade
5:30 – 6:30 pm – 2nd grade & up
*This is a drop off program.
Parents will be invited to the final class of each studio to celebrate their artists’s accomplishments.
Fees & Materials
Me & My Grown-Up Studio: Visual Art $210. This fee includes all materials.
Pre-Studio: Visual Art & Creative Movement $210. This fee includes all materials.
Studio A: Visual Art $210. This fee includes all materials.
Studio B: Modern Dance $125. Participants must purchase their own dance attire. Attire should consist
of a basic black leotard and footless black tights for girls and black leggings and a white t-shirt for boys.
Studio A & B: $325 (Studio combination fees are for one participant only. They may not be applied to
multiple members of the same household.)
West End Temple Member Discount $15; Sibling Discount $15 (These discounts may only be applied
once per household and may be applied to studio combination fees.)
