This is an informal bid, and the bid opening will not be formal or public. Be sure to use all of the forms included in this manual for submitting your bid. The following forms must be filled out and returned with the bid proposal: A. Bid Forms B. Non-Collusion Affidavit C. SDBE Procurement Form D. Project references – minimum of 5 athletic court projects Any bids submitted without these completed forms shall be deemed as “non-responsive”. PRIOR EXPERIENCE In order for their offers to be considered responsive, Bidders must have and demonstrate significant experience in the construction of asphalt athletic courts with defined surface smoothness and installation tolerances. The City expects that the successful proposal will include a minimum of 5 successful completed basketball court projects. Please also provide representative project references. Scope of Work Lyon Park (2) basketball courts Renovation includes demolition of perimeter chain link fence fabric, removal of four existing basketball goals, concrete crack restoration, acrylic latex overlay, court striping, four new basketball goals, new perimeter vinyl coated chain link fence fabric, installation of fence posts, removal of one park bench, and installation of one ADA accessible park bench. East End Park (2) basketball courts Renovation includes removal of four existing basketball goals, acrylic latex overlay on existing court surface, court striping, four new basketball goals, an ADA accessible sidewalk, and two ADA accessible park benches. East Durham Park (1) basketball court Renovation includes removal of two existing basketball goals, removal of existing spectator bleachers, removal of a water fountain, asphalt overlay and acrylic latex overlay on existing court surface, court striping, two new basketball goals, new perimeter vinyl coated chain link fence, installation of spectator bleachers, installation of a concrete pad, and an ADA accessible water fountain. The City of Durham reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, waive informalities, and/or accept such bid as appears in its judgment to be in the best interest of the City.
