Ballyshannon 5K Tír Chonaill Athletics Club1
Conan McCaughey, Enniskillen RC, 15mins 1 secs
and Catriona Devine, Finn Valley 17mins 43secs
were impressive winners of the Opening Donegal
Grand Prix 5k at Ballyshannon on Friday Evening.
Superbly organised, ran in beautiful conditions on
a course that is recognised as very fast, the finish
is 125m lower than the start - McCaughey was
made fight for his victory by Liam Feely, North
Leitrim, Martin Cox Omagh and Gerard Gallagher,
Finn Valley while Devine was in a class of her own
and was delighted to run under 18 minutes.
