Picnic Shelters General Information
Consider organizing a special gathering, family
reunion, or company picnic and take advantage of
the outdoors. Reserve one of seven picnic shelters
or a community room of the Carver County Parks
System. Shelters are available 9am - 9pm or
one hour after sunset, whichever is later.

Prairie Shelter
Prairie shelter is positioned overlooking
maintained park grounds and cattail marsh
● Approximate seating under roof-80
● Floating Boardwalk/trails
● Within walking distance of beach, flush toilets
and the family campground
● Near first tee of 18 hole Disc Golf course
A large grill, water and electric service is
provided at all shelters and the community
room.
All facilities have vault toilet facilities
unless noted.
At Baylor Regional Park, two shelters and a
community room are available.
Beach Shelter
The beach shelter is situated overlooking Eagle
Lake.

At Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, three
shelters are located in wooded picnic areas of the
park and a fourth is near an open playfield with a
view of the lake. All shelters are within walking
distance of the creative playground and the beach.
