Germany declares war on Russia (France’s Ally). August 1, 1914 \ Germany declares war on France (August 3, 1914) - Russia’s Ally; Germany marches through Belgium (Neutral) (August 4, 1914) to get to France. \ Great Britain declares war on Germany.
