ONYCHOMYCOSIS TREATMENT
SOLUTION OF PROPYLENE GLYCOL, UREA AND LACTIC ACID
EACH EMTRIX® NAIL SOLUTION CONTAINS:
Propylene glycol 66.4%, urea 20.0%, lactic acid 10.0%.
RECOMMENDED USE:
Local treatment of fingernail and toenail fungal infections.
EMTRIX® nail solution helps reduce the growth of certain
fungi known to cause fingernail and toenail infections.
EMTRIX® nail solution increases hydration and gently
smoothes the outer layers of the nail plate.

RECOMMENDED DOSE:
Adults, 18 years and above: Apply EMTRIX® nail solution to
the affected nail once per day, covering each nail with a thin
layer of the solution.
Ensure the solution is also applied under the free edge of the
affected nail. Allow to dry for a few minutes.
Wash excess solution from unaffected skin areas thoroughly,
including hands, after contact.
Patients reported improvement in nail appearance in as early
as 2–4 weeks of treatment.

DURATION OF USE:
Duration of treatment varies according to the initial severity of
the condition, but in many cases 3–6 months of treatment
may be required to achieve acceptable results.
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS:
Sodium hydroxide, water.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
For external use only.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly
with water.
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
Like all health products, EMTRIX® nail solution can have side
effects, although not everyone will get them.
Transient minor irritation to the skin next to the affected nail
can occur. If irritation worsens or persists, discontinue use
and consult a health care practitioner.
Harmless discolouration of the affected nail may occur.
In rare cases, the affected nail may become loose and detach
from the nail bed. If this occurs, discontinue use and consult
a health care practitioner.
If any of the side effects become serious, or if you notice any
side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor
or pharmacist.
PACKAGE:
Plastic tube with a silicone drop tip to facilitate application
to the nail: 10 mL solution.
STORE AT 15–25 °C IN A DRY AREA. PRODUCT CAN
BE REFRIGERATED.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use EMTRIX® nail solution after the expiry date stated
on the package.
Do not use EMTRIX® nail solution if the pack is broken before
you start using it.
