The Faculty of Arts Offers courses in these languages: • Arabic • Chinese • Cree • French • German • Ancient Greek • Hebrew Degree credit During your first year of university or throughout your degree, you can take courses in over 20 languages offered at the beginner’s level to more advanced levels. Many of our students start off having no knowledge in another language; or have taken an introduction language course in high school; or speak it at home but want to advance their skills. University opportunities The university has student clubs which organize foreign movie nights, festivals, and other activities related to one of the languages and cultures. As well, you can take advantage of the many resources in the Language Centre, including a computerized laboratory for the oral practice of the language. Travel Study/Exchange Programs Explore other countries with travel study offered by several language departments and /or exchange programs to universities in other countries which can be used for credit towards your degree program.
