MAIN PURPOSE:
The Honorary President is appointed as a figurehead position for the National Governing Body.
APPOINTMENT:
The Honorary President is appointed for a period of approximately one year by the membership at
a each AGM, in accordance with the Bye Laws.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 To support the Chair and Board of British Fencing
 To Chair any meetings of the Vice-Presidents
 To be a key ambassador for the sport and the National Governing Body
 In agreement with the Chair:
- represent British Fencing at formal occasions such as official functions and
presentations
- Attend and present at domestic events, both competitions and awards
- To speak at events and to assist with communication with the fencing community
PURPOSE AND APPOINTMENT:
This is an honorary title given without obligation to BF members who have been deemed
worthy of recognition for services rendered to the BF. Honorary Vice-Presidents are appointed
by the Board in consultation with existing Vice-Presidents and other relevant parties.
An Honorary President is automatically nominated for Honorary Vice-President upon vacating the
Honorary President position.
