MEMBERSHIP
The Y is a membership organization and requires program participants to be a current year member. The annual Y membership is
$37 and runs from January 1st through December 31st, 2017. A
membership form and a multi-program registration form are inserted for your convenience, or visit www.lincolnymca.org.

GYM RENTAL
The Y Activity Center gym and party
room (719 Wyatt Avenue) are
available year round to rent for birthday parties, bridal and baby showers,
family reunions and other celebrations.
Availability is first come, first serve
after Y program hours. You must be
21+ to rent the gym. A $50 deposit
and completed rental agreement are
required in order to reserve the gym
for your event. All rental agreements
must be for a minimum of 2 hours.
Rental costs are $37 per hour (Y
members) and $42 per hour (non-Y
members). Hourly rental fees increase
after a maximum of 25, 40, and 50
guests. To check availability and
for more facility rental information, call the Y office at 7353915.

CAMP A — KINGS & QUEENS, KNIGHTS, DRAGONS & CASTLE LORE
Kids will enjoy a variety of craft projects that will include making crowns and tiaras from pipe cleaners
and jewels, building castles with tubes, making a shield and sword from duct tape, and creating a fiery
dragon! Kids will also enjoy various coloring pages, architect their own castle drawing, and enjoy various literature on kings, queens and dragons! Registration deadline is June 1st.
CAMP B – THE WILD SIDE OF MONSTERS
Kids will enjoy creating and painting their own giant monster, will create monsters from straw blown
paint, make a stuffed monster from gloves, and a very hairy monster from colored yarn. Monsters will be
crafted from wooden sticks, tie-dye coffee filters, and from paper plates. Kids will enjoy reading monster books, coloring monsters and making Playdough monsters too. Registration deadline is June 29th.

SUMMER FIELDTRIP BLASTS
Space is limited to 10 children, but your child is invited to attend our fun
loving fieldtrip excursions listed below. Kids will enjoy fun at Splashdown
Waterpark in East Peoria, a Peoria Chiefs baseball game (Splash Day) and a
trip to Dragon Land Waterpark in Pekin. Kids should arrive to the Y Activity
Center at 9 am to depart on the fieldtrip by 9:15 am and then return back by
3:30 pm. Bring a sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and water bottle.
Ages: 2nd – 5th grade
Cost: $25 per child per each fieldtrip.
Fee increases $5 if registered after the deadline dates below.

Y MINI CAMPS
MINI CAMPS - RECREATIONAL & SPORTS
The Y will offer a total of 6 mini camps (instructional/recreational) during the summer
months for children entering K-6th grade. Camps are instructed by Y Sports Program Director, Will Podbelsek, and are held at the Y Activity Center, 719 Wyatt Avenue.
Each camp is held TWTh each week from 9:30–10am (K-2nd grade) and from10:15-11am
(3rd-6th grade). Camps are outdoors except basketball which will be held in the gym.
Camp space is limited. Cost will increase $5 if registered after deadlines listed below*.

Y SPORTS
SPRING SOCCER
At weekly practices, the children will learn soccer
skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork while having
fun. Participants will be instructed on kicking,
passing, and shooting, as well as general soccer
strategies. The kids will put their skills to the test
with thrilling live action games on Saturday mornings. Fee increases $10 after April 7th.

WEEBALL
YMCA’s Weeball program is back for another great
season for any child 3 ½ years-6 years old. Each
week, children will learn to hit a ball off tees, learn
how to properly throw and catch a baseball, run bases, and how to properly field ground balls. Participants will use these skills each week to compete in a
in a fun game scrimmage against each other.
Fee increases $10 after May 25.

SPORTS OF ALL SORTS CAMP
Sports of all Sorts class will teach children a different sport each day in this one of a kind program.
Sports include football, basketball, baseball, and
soccer. Children will have fun playing against each
other and learning about the fundamentals of each
sport.

GOLF CLINIC
At the Y golf clinic, each participant will learn key
components of golf while having a fun time playing games and activities relating to the sport.
Kids will receive personalized instruction from
our trained instructor. Components include swing
technique, stance, club choice, chipping, driving,
and putting. Fee increases $10 after deadlines.

Any one age 15 or older is invited to come on out to the Y Activity Center each Monday from 7-9 pm
and compete in full court basketball action! Teams change up from week to week which keeps the
game time fun. Participants get the opportunity to enjoy the sport with others that love the game!
The cost is cheap for a whole two hours of fun and great exercise. Bring your friends and join up
with the several players and have some game time!
FREE ADULT WALKING
Join today to start walking and work toward a healthier and more active lifestyle!
This program is entirely free (NO COST) for any adult
55+ that wants to get out of the house and walk indoors at our Y gym located at 719 Wyatt Avenue.
Stop by the office and complete a registration form to
satisfy insurance liability concerns prior to your first
day to walk, and then just enjoy walking with your
friends or neighbors from 1-3 Monday through Friday.

LOOKING AHEAD
YMCA BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL
Lincoln Area YMCA offers Before and After School Programs at District #27 schools to children in
K-5th grade. Call the Y office for all locations and transportation details.
CEL YMCA After School Program will be held at one of the District #27 schools and children will be
transported by the Y van on days when District #27 is in session.
Olympia South Elementary YMCA After School Program will be held at the school in Atlanta.
Early dismissals: YMCA covers most every early dismissal for each school with the exception of
when CEL calendar does not coincide with District #27 school calendar.
Kids make new friends and work together as a team while learning and playing.
Children must be registered initially as either the 3 day attendance rate per week
or the weekly rate. The Y does not offer “drop in” registrations.

SCHOOLS OUT FUN DAYS
When school is not in session, the Y is in session! Y Fun Days
(mini-camp days) are held at the Y Activity Center on
Wyatt Avenue from 6:30am – 5:30 pm for kids in K- 6th grade.
Fun Day activities include…
art & crafts, story time, songs, table games and stations, staff
supervised free choice play, recreation and playground play, and
more. Children must bring a sack lunch (lunch time is at11:30 am).
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
During 2016, a total of 234 community members volunteered to assist the Lincoln Area YMCA with sports and recreational programs taking on roles such as
coaches, refs, setting up for programs, running time clocks, lining fields, special
events and so much more. Many assisted in school age programs, helping counselors in our summer camps, school’s out fun days, and after school programs,
while others volunteered with Y office work such as mailings and fundraising
projects. If you are interested in spending time volunteering at the Y, please call
us today! WE COULD USE SOMEONE LIKE YOU!
