Newsletter - APRIL 2017
Spring is here, I think? No more snow, I hope? Snow is great for the grass, flowers and gardens, but I’m ready for spring and
warmer weather. Hopin’ to get one or two days free to start to plant the garden. March was a ridiculously busy month, as
is April. Thanks to all who keep in touch online and have been out to the shows - I really do appreciate it. Please enjoy the
energy of spring and bring some of that spring love my way.….….
ETC: Well, as you know, the country is in turmoil due to the last election. But, I am happy to report that because of the uproar, a recount
was demanded. And the winner was not The Donald or Hillary, but a write-in candidate:
Me!!! The General!!! I didn’t run, but will
happily serve under the platform of peace,
love, understanding and tolerance and kickass music!!! Not only am I now the leader of
the free world, but I also an Oscar for my
music! Wow, this is totally crazy, right?!?
Unfortunately, the envelopes got mixed up
and I had to receive my award off-camera.
Bummer. But, the end result is that I still have
an Oscar and LOVE that I got to hang out
with Gwyneth and Dame Judy Dench! How
cool is that? Anyway, life goes on and I took
a call from a guy that said that he was
Hail to the Chief - In the Oval Office
Me and my Hollywood pals and our Oscars
producing a new Broadway musical about
Alexander Hamilton. Good luck with that. Anyway, I was super-busy and had to pass on it. But, against all odds, it becomes a huge hit.
He comes back to me about replacing him in the lead role. I’ve never acted, but I definitely have the musical chops and I’m like, YOLO,
right? If it sucks, it sucks. But it doesn’t suck! And I’m the lead in Hamilton! A show that I did because I had the right hair and I liked the
spiffy outfits! Please check it out. And also check out the pics that document my
journey. Oh, and by the way - as if you didn’t know already, this is all a big ol’ fat,
April Fools joke! Hope y’all enjoyed and had a laugh!!! ….….
THE JUKES: Wow, what a couple of months it’s been with The Jukes! Starting in
mid–February until the end of March, we were pretty much on the road all the time,
hitting Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, New England, Niagara Falls, Pennsylvania,
Chicago, Minnesota, Ohio and Kentucky! Things slow down for us a bit in April with a
couple of local New Jersey shows, but we also have two exciting trips on tap: four
shows in California and a stop at the New Orleans Jazz Festival!!! It’s been more
than a decade since we hit the West Coast, so we’re all very excited about seeing
our West Coast friends ….….
SHADOWLAND: Even though any Shadowland gigs were put on hold due to The
Jukes schedule, there’s plenty happenin’ behind the scenes! All of that time on a
Takin’ the lead role in Hamilton - yeah, that’s right!
tour bus gave me time to work on some new songs and book some gigs! We have
one show this month at the great Laundromat Bar in Morristown and will have a bunch more in the coming months, so please check out
my website and Facebook page for all of the latest gig dates, photos and news. And, don’t forget, the Shadowland CD is available from
my website store or you can download it from iTunes, Amazon, Tidal, cdbaby, Spotify, so please pick one up - I think you’ll enjoy ….….
