Extra Curricular Activities
Band- The Archdiocesan Band Program offers instrumental lessons and a group band
experience in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Washington.
Bundles of Love-Nationally recognized club whose members collect items, make cards and
compile the bundles for the homeless, in the metropolitan area.
Calligraphy Club-Student will learn decorative handwriting and handwritten lettering.
Youth Jam-Student choir featuring a contemporary Christian, Gospel, Multicultural and
Choral Music.
Catholic Youth Organization Sports (CYO)- CYO attempts to balance competition with good
sportsmanship, fairness in play and personal and spiritual growth.
Elizabeth House- Our students make lunches for delivery to Elizabeth House, each month.
It’s Academic– Students practice to compete in a regional Catholic middle school meet.
Lego Club -- Extend STEM learning with Simple Machine designs and develops critical
thinking and creativity powered machines and robotics.
Math Club – Students will be able to practice techniques to rapidly increase problem solving
and critical thinking.
Multi-Cultural Night – A community-wide celebration of our schools’ cultural diversity.
National Junior Honor Society – A middle school service organization, admission is based
on nomination by their teachers.
Recycling Club – Recycling and a green lifestyle helping to keep our world clean.
Oratory – Public speaking, the culmination being participation in the Knights of Columbus
oratory contest in the spring.
Safety Patrol /Adopt a Road– Middle school students assist with arrival & dismissal. Students
will a help clean up the environment.
Set Club - Students help build sets for Christmas Program and other events.
Student Council – Students from all grades participate in student government as a liaison to
principal.
Yearbook – Students create/design their class pages.
Talent Show-There are various performance opportunities throughout the school year for
students to showcase their talents.
