Around 850 different beers are made in Belgium and 20% of them by monks. The ancestral abbey beer recipes have been used for artisan
beers called “special” beers. Made by the expert brewers are quite often handed down through the generations and have some evolution into
modern style beers. Artisan beers are usually high fermentation beers.

Alc. Vol. 4.9% World renowned as, “the best of
white beers”. The Hoegaarden history starts around
1445 in a small village of the same name: following a
secret recipe using the purest ingredients and locally
grown wheat, the villagers developed the original
unfiltered white beer. Light and refreshing beer with a
slightly bitter fruity taste and a hint of coriander and
curacao.

Alc. Vol. 6.6% Leffe is Belgium’s original abbey beer,
tracing it’s origins back to the abbey of Leffe, founded
1152. Inside the abbey, monks handcrafted their own
beer according to specific rules. In the 1800’s abbey
beers were beginning to be brewed outside the abbey
wall, though the traditions and recipes were followed
closely. Blonde made with clear malt and of medium
strength.

Alc. Vol. 6.5% Leffe dark, also an authentic abbey
beer, it’s full bodied, slightly fruity taste and it’s rich
deep brown colour. Almost black robe, perfectly
balanced taste of coffee/ Leffe Blonde & Dark are
served with a creamy head in a chalice-type glass,
thus continuing the traditions of the abbey monks.

Alc. Vol. 5.2% Stella Artois is the worlds best selling
Belgian beer, enjoyed in more than 80 countries
over the world. A crafted brewing process uses
traditionally malted barley and the finest hops,
resulting in premium lager with superior quality and
a full, unique flavour. Stella Artois has a clear golden
colour with a fine, clean bitterness and a hint of citrus
fruit.
Belle-Vue Kriek 250ml .............................. 10
Alc. Vol. 5.2% When Lambic is refermented
in the presence of sour cherries with secondary
fermentation in the bottle this will result in Kriek.
Belle-Vue Kriek is thus a style of Lambic with the
aroma, taste and color of sour cherries. It has a dry
and creamy flavor: cherry, nuts and wood. The sweet
cherries dominate the flavor with accents of wine and
almonds. Very refreshing!

Alc. Vol. 8.5% Subtle wood flavour with a note of
vanilla and a “velvety” mouth feel that rivals that of
an oak-matured wine.

Bosteels Tripel Karmeliet 500ml................ 19
Alc. Vol. 8% A Tripel brewed with barley, wheat
and oats. It could even be considered a six-grain
beer as each of these grains is used in their raw as
well as malted form. This three-grain beer brewed
with Steiermark hops has good herbal flavours. It
owes its fruity character (banana and vanilla) to the
home-cultured yeast. There is plenty of citrus in the
note, also bitter lemon and sugar. A bit of malt on the
tongue combined with sweet ripe fruit - exotic like
banana. The finish also offers light citrusy touches
but sweet malts as well. The citrus aromas and the
ripe fruits are beautifully complemented with ginger.
This degustation beer makes a perfect pairing with
mussels.

low alcohol content and a delightful hint of malt
and spice with a sweet dry after taste.

Alc. Vol. 8.5% Originally, the Breendonck brewer
used to give his brand new beer to a town baker
to taste. “Devil” or Duve in the antwerp province
is innocent and beguiling at first, with a soft, light
palate. A style unto itself.
Belgian Real Pils 330ml ..........................9
Alc Vol. 5% Real Pils is a golden lager beer, it has
a fruity, clean and light flavour with a pleasant hint
of bitterness. The special character of Real Pils is
determined by a careful selection of fine grains. This
low-fermentation beer is uniquely cold-filtered. Easy
drinking beer.
Rodenbach GC Red Ale 330ml ................14
Alc. Vol. 6% Unique red fruits, vanilla, wood,
cheese, chocolate and caramel. This beer has
a mild taste with a beautiful balance between
lactic acids and ascetic acids. Taste-wise, it is
quite close to wine, cider and calvados.

Alc. Vol. 4.7% White beer, top fermented, with a
delicate flavouring of orange and coriander. Hazy
pale blonde body which is not fizzy with a white
foamy head, and a refreshing taste.

Alc. Vol. 8% A blonde, robust, smooth and fruity
“3 grains” beer with final fermentation in the bottle
- first brewed in 1679. was named “Best Beer in the
world” in 2008 at the World Beer Championships.
Brewed with pride and patience after the Karmeliet
tradition using wheat, oats and barley. 100%

Kwak, who owned a hotel in the small town of
Brabant. His beer is famous all over the world,

Alc. Vol. 8.4% Fresh lemon and pear aromas that

pears. The mouthfeel is light- to medium-bodied and

crisp and dry.

maturing and conditioning, it is bottled unfiltered,

Alc. Vol. 5.4% Made with English hops, French
Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the
best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the
roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its
amber color, but without being heavy.

Alc. Vol. 6% Dark peppery character, while the
blonde variant produces a richly bitter cachet
in the mouth from the first sip, which quickly
develops across the palete. Its marked bitterness
slightly masks the reality of its alcohol content.

spontaneously fermented. Refermented in the
bottle. Tart, dry, sparkling and refreshing.

Alc. Vol. 7.1% The beer is cloudy and more
golden than the average wheat beer, with a
smooth round flavour containing subtle notes of
coriander and curaçao, orange peel, medium-dry
with a just a hint of bitterness in the finish.
CONTROLLED APPELLATION - A unique variety of beers, brewed by Belgian Trappiste monks as part of their monastic life since the middle ages. It is thought that
the craft was highly developed from the tradition of making full bodied beers that provided added substance to the monks during lent.

range, very dark and full bodied with a complex
aroma. Although slightly more dense, the bleue is
a pleasure to drink.

Alc. Vol. 9.5% A mix of hops and Pilsner malts,
captalised with pale candy sugar, Golden blonde
colour, fruity, complex, round and strong. Made at
westmalle, North of Belgium, a true “Delice”.

Alc. Vol. 11.3% The strong man Trappiste has
a very strong, bitter, full and spicy flavour. Made
at Norte-Dame Saint Remy, in the south of
Belgium. A velvet-like hint of caramelised malt.

Alc. Vol. 9% The flag ship of the Chimay. Vintage
beer corked like wine. Highly developed, soft

Alc. Vol. 6.2% Made at Norte-Dame D’Orval Dry
and bitter made with pure spring water, Le Gout
d’Orval goes back to 1070. Immensely complex with
an orange colour. A real discovery beer.
Brigand 330ml.................................... 15
Alc. Vol. 9% A dry bitter, blonde beer that
re-ferments in the bottle. Brigand tastes full in
the mouth with a slightly malty aroma. It also
has a slightly malty taste with accents of spices
and hops. The hop bitterness comes through in
the finish.

Alc. Vol. 8% Golden colour, slightly hazy, a fine
head with an aroma of fresh hops and yeast. Fruits
of muscat and raisins compliment the touch of
bitterness. The beer is re-fermented in the bottle,
without any pasteurisation.

Alc. Vol. 7.5% “Rochefort 6” is the oldest Rochefort
Trappist beer and was brewed empirically until the
end of the Second World War. It has a strong malt
taste and is slightly bitter.

Alc. Vol. 9.2% “Rochefort 8,” the newest addition
to the line, dates from 1955. Tawny in colour, a more
pronounced aroma and even richer fruitiness which
gives a balanced finish to the final notes.

Alc. Vol 8% is a dark burgundy colour, has a generous caramel
bouquet completed with fruity touches. Originally only brewed
for Christmas time, it has become a force to be reckoned with.

Alc. Vol. 3.6% Sweet and fruity, pale ale candy aroma top
fermented and non filtered. Rich passionfruit syrupy finish.

Alc. Vol. 3.6% Single malted beer with a low alcohol content,
refreshing and thirst quenching with a distinct apple finish.

Alc. Vol 3.6% Consists of small Morello cherries. This fruity
beer excels by its cherry flavour, sweetened without saturation
leaving it light and very refreshing.
Bacchus Kriek 375ml............................................ 17
Alc. Vol. 5.8% Red blood colour, clear liquid, pink head.
Aroma of cherries, liquor, kvass and compote. Although heavy
sweet, aroma is not artificial.
Boon Framboise Raspberry Lambic 375ml ........... 18
Alc. Vol. 5% Obtained by adding raspberries to the lambic, the
result is the beer with a refined taste and a delicate pink colour.
It is to be savoured in a champagne style tulip glass.

Alc. Vol. 7% Made ab Notre-Dame of Scourmont
(Hinaut province), probably the best known
Trappiste in the world. La Rouge (the red) has
a strong flavour, not too bitter with a beautiful
“bouquet”.
Maredsous Blonde 330ml.........................................14
Alc. Vol 6% is a delectable blonde ale with sprightly fruitiness,
soft malting with a dry & gently hopped finish. The blonde was
the abbey’s first beer, nowadays the monks drink it daily with
their lunch.
Piraat 10.5% 330ml............................. 23
Alc. Vol. 10.5% Wickedly rich and rounded
brew that packs a mighty punch. Deep golden
with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild
sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices
and tropical fruits.

Alc. Vol. 8.5% Strong amber beer, where the
flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines
perfectly with the taste of the special malts.
La Sirène is an artisanal brewing company based in inner city
Melbourne. The brewers come from winemaking and scientific
backgrounds, and have been drawn together by a shared passion for
rustic and distinctive ales, and the desire to produce classic Belgian
and French Farmhouse styles.
At the La Sirène brewery, they produce small batches of unfiltered
and unpasteurised beer, retaining the greatest amount of flavour
and character. All of their bottled beers are naturally conditioned by
refermentation and extended maturation in the bottle.

wild fruits. Complex rustic flavours of spice and a little funk

has a soft malt backbone, layered complexity and sweet malt

plums dominate along with high floral notes of rose and
dandelions. Strong Belgian yeast characters follow and

from Mexico and hazelnuts and with a creamy body, it is
