WHAT IS THE VIBE?
NOW OPEN AND READY TO EXPLORE, VIBE HOTEL
CANBERRA AIRPORT OFFERS MORE THAN YOU
EXPECT.
Just a stroll from the terminal and a ten minute drive from Canberra’s
CBD, Vibe Hotel Canberra Airport’s doors are open for business.
Guests walk into an eye-catching full height atrium, with a surreal spiral
view of the six levels above. The gold trumpeted chimney will entice you
to the fire pit for some lounging and TV watching.
Helix Bar & Dining offers an aviation inspired cocktail, or perhaps a
snack from the extensive bar menu, while waiting for a flight or to
welcome a new arrival. Helix Bar & Dining also offers a European
inspired menu, with an emphasis on local Australian produce. Head
Chef, Michael Chatto, is focusing on shared dishes and will feature
touches of French sophistication and Spanish flair, with some relaxed
Italian cuisine.
‘Helix’ comes from the aeronautical term associated with the spiral
shaped airflow behind a rotating aircraft propeller. The gold louvres
featured on the lower ground floor and the anodized hoops in the
windows and behind reception also add to that subtle aviation feel.
Open just in time for Christmas celebrations, visiting family and friends
and those Friday night drinks after work - check out the Vibe.

TENANTS RE-SIGN AND NEW TENANTS SIGN UP.
Following a fruitful meeting with China Southern Airlines in Guangdong
Province last year, Canberra Airport stepped up the campaign for direct
international flights from China with another meeting at the end of
June, as part of an ACT Government trade mission to China.
Executive Chairman Terry Snow and Managing Director Stephen Byron
joined ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr to meet with China Southern
President and CEO Mr Tan Wangeng in Guangzhou.
The meeting provided an opportunity to focus on the aviation potential
associated with Canberra and to further develop the relationship
with China Southern, exploring passenger and freight opportunities
between Guangdong and the ACT.
The next step is another trade mission this month, with Canberra
Business Chamber to Singapore and Malaysia, with meetings and
events organised with key tourism and trade partners.

FIRST SUBURB WITH
SOCIAL HOUSING
INITIATIVE
THE SNOW FOUNDATION PROVIDES SEED FUNDING
FOR NEW PROPERTY INITIATIVE.
The Snow Foundation has always had an interest in helping people
who are homeless and those initiatives that house them. The Snow
Foundation provided the initial seed funding back in 2013 that has led
to Capital Estate Developments working with Homes for Homes. As
a result, the new suburb Denman Prospect, consisting of 2,000 land
titles, will be contributing 0.1% of each sale to bettering the lives of
Canberra’s homeless.
This is the first suburb in Australia to introduce this caveat into its
sales contracts. So for every $500,000 sale, $500 is invested into social
and affordable housing in the ACT. This provides people with a simple
opportunity to make a difference.

Kathryn Scarano from Canberra Airport launched the week at a free

portrays the enjoyment and responsibility we all have in taking care of the
environment around us”.
We gave away 400 reusable coffee cups, 200 native seedlings, took a group
of tenants on a garden tour, and even had a visit from David Taylor from the
Australian National Botanic Gardens, all to celebrate our beautiful work
surrounds.
Canberra Airport’s business parks are well-known for their award-winning
landscaping, with a dedicated team continually maintaining and perfecting
the surrounds for the enjoyment of all our tenants.
