NES SEEKING SENIOR VOLUNTEERS: FiftyForward's
Friends Learning in Pairs (FLIP) is seeking individuals 55 and
older to tutor students in grades K-4 at Nolensville Elementary. ◦
o Tutors work two hours a week during the school year,
helping students with reading skills. They give students oneon-one attention and serve as positive adult role models,
resulting in students and adults forming friendships that are
beneficial to both.
o Tutors will be given training and attend regular in-service
session. They will receive continual assistance from FLIP
staff and in-school literacy coach. Books and materials and
other tutoring resources are provided.
o FLIP is part of FiftyForwards's Retired Senior Volunteer
Program (RSVP). FiftyForward supports, champions and
enhances the lives of those fifty and older.
