Making Great Work at The Lowry
Through The Lowry’s Associate Artist scheme we make a real
difference in the development of some of the most exciting
theatre makers in the country. This
summer we are presenting two fantastic productions created
through this programme – the scorchingly political ‘Bucket List’
from Theatre Ad Infinitum and the irrepressibly energetic
‘Declaration’ from Art with Heart.
‘Bucket List’ tells the story of Milagros, a young Mexican
woman whose mother is murdered for protesting against
corporate and governmental corruption. Armed only
with a bloodstained list of those responsible, Milagros embarks
on a passionate quest for justice, no matter the cost.
‘Declaration’ is a warm, funny and candid exploration of Sarah
Emmott’s own experience of seeking a diagnosis for adult
ADHD. With comedy, storytelling, and conversations with
audiences, Declaration explores when we want, need or are
forced to declare our differences, and the faces we wear to fit
in.
We’re also looking forward to welcoming Theatre Temoin back
with their extraordinary mask theatre show ‘The Marked’. And
