Quilt fungicide combines the Power of Two industry

Quilt fungicide combines the Power of Two industryleading brands, Quadris® and Tilt®, to deliver complete
disease protection and help crops reach their full yield
potential. This powerful combination includes proven
active ingredients, which offer long-lasting, residual
control of foliar diseases, including superior control of
gray leaf spot, the most damaging disease in corn.
Quilt stops fungal growth and spore germination to
combat fungal diseases that reduce yields. Widely used
for a number of years on wheat, rice and grass grown for
seed, Quilt offers a new level of preventive and curative
disease control to corn growers.

Diseases can seriously impact corn yields if
not scouted for and treated on a timely
basis. Quilt® fungicide from Syngenta

to offer growers a superior solution for
preventive and curative broad-spectrum
control of corn diseases.
Protecting crop yields by maximizing
Plant Performance™ is increasingly important
in today’s market due to increased ethanol
demand and the changing dynamics of corn
prices. Quilt brings growers a superior tool
for preventing and controlling diseases to
help growers receive a higher return on
their investment.
• Combines the Power of Two active ingredients with highly effective gray leaf spot activity
• Enhances Plant Performance through broad-spectrum disease control and influences plant physiology to boost yields 10-15 bu/A during the past two years in Syngenta and on-farm trials
• Controls diseases such as gray leaf spot, common
and southern rust, and northern and southern corn
leaf blight
• Stops fungal growth and spore germination for powerful curative and long residual control
• Provides resistance management with two different modes of action
Quilt Enhances Yield and Plant Performance
Yield Increase (bu/A)
Quilt has increased yields 10-15 bu/A over the past two years in Syngenta and on-farm trials.
Break-even point
Break-even point
Overall average = 10-15 bu/A increase in Syngenta and on-farm trials; Net return = up to $41.70/acre. Net return calculated
using $4.18*/bu corn price minus cost of fungicide and application. Data shown was collected from field comparisons across the United
States in 2007. Quilt was tank mixed with a Syngenta insecticide in some cases.

Quilt: Two Proven Brands, One Solution for Superior Disease Control
Application Guide for Field Corn, Popcorn and Other Specialty Corns (Includes Seed Production)
Quilt may be applied by ground, air or chemigation. Apply no more than two applications of Quilt or any other Group 11 fungicide per year.
TIMING
ACTION
V6-V8 (onward)
Begin scouting – examine leaves that are
two leaves below the ear leaf and up.
If there are two or more lesions on any
leaf AND if one of two plants (50%) are
infected, a fungicide application should be
made. Choose the right application rate
based on the primary disease(s) present.
SOLUTION
Rusts
10.5 to 14 oz./A
Gray leaf spot
Eye spot
Apply Quilt when disease first appears.
If conditions favorable for disease persist,
continue to apply on a 14-day schedule.
Helminthosporium leaf blights
7 to 14 oz./A
Northern corn leaf blight
For leaf blights, apply Quilt when disease
first appears. Continue on a 7- to 14-day
schedule. Use the low rate when disease
pressure is low. Under heavy disease
pressure or if conditions are favorable
for disease, apply the high rate.
Northern corn leaf spot
Specific Use Restrictions: Do not apply after brown silk. Do not apply within 30 days of harvest for forage. Do not apply more than
56 fl. oz. per acre per season of Quilt. Do not apply more than 0.45 lb. a.i. propiconazole-containing products per acre per year.
Do not apply more than 2.0 lbs. a.i. azoxystrobin-containing products per acre per year.

As a member of the Quadris family of brands, Quilt
provides optimal disease control and enhanced Plant
Performance through improvements to plant physiology
and true systemic activity.

Quilt and Quadris help boost yield through enhanced
Plant Performance with four key attributes:
Broad-spectrum disease control
Preserves green leaf area longer
Water-use efficiency increased
northern
corn
Leaf Spot
Decreases transpiration
Tolerance to extreme water loss
Improved CO2 assimilation
Improves photosynthesis

Quilt and Quadris also provide complete leaf
protection with true systemic activity:
Azoxystrobin, the active ingredient in Quadris and one of the active ingredients in Quilt, is a fully systemic strobilurin fungicide
This xylem mobility allows for the product to move
from the site of application to protect the entire leaf,
including new growth
