Courage Skit (Interviewer comes on stage holding a “microphone”.) Interviewer: (name) here, doing man interviews for the Lay Jeno Television Show. on the street (A Cub Scout comes on stage, curiously looking around. Interviewer walks over and speaks to him.) Interviewer: Pardon me, sir, would you answer a few questions for the Lay Jeno Television Show? Show? We need your valuable opinion. (Holds mike in front of the Cub Scout.) Cub Scout: Sure! Interviewer: Please speak right into the mike and look at the camera. (points at imaginary camera.) Cub Scout: Okay. Interviewer: It has been said that “True courage is not the absence of fear—but the willingness to proceed in spite of it.” Do you agree with that? Cub Scout: I guess. Interviewer: It is not always easy to stand up for the things that you believe are right, especially if others are telling you to do the opposite. Do you think that boys of your age need courage now more than ever? Cub Scout: Maybe. Interviewer: Do you think it takes courage to stick up for another person who is being teased or bullied? Cub Scout: Yes. Interviewer: I hear that there is a lot of pressure on kids your age to join a gang, but gang members seem to do bad things and always be in trouble.
