Assignment Guidance:
Papers/Writings Assignments (Should be handed in on paper in class)
For your main writing assignment (often noted as “M” on your role sheets), your paper should be three to five
pages in length (double-spaced, 1 inch margins, 11-12 point font) For your secondary writing assignment (often
noted as “S” on your role sheets), your paper should be one to three pages in length (double-spaced, 1 inch
margins, 11-12 point font)
Oral Presentations/ Lectures
Often, you will orally present the “papers” you have written for the class. If you are a member of a faction
(moderate, conservative, or lincean), your oral presentations or “lectures” are described on pages 46 and 47 of the
game book. If the game manual doesn’t specify who should speak, then each individual faction will collective
decide who will give presentations. Indeterminates should give presentations as described on pages 46 and 47.
When it is the case that your faction has several persons serving in a similar role, then your faction should
decide if presentations should be jointly delivered or delivered by just one person.
In general, your individual oral presentations will be 5 to 10 minutes in length.
