Parent & Child Class
THESE CLASSES are designed to increase parent child
interaction and promote early literacy and learning activities.
Included are 60 minutes of fun including art, fine motor and
sensory activities, stories, singing and dancing. Parent education
topics and take-home ideas support early learning and child
development. Each class session consists of a series of ten weekly
meetings. Classes are open to parents (mom, dad, grandparent,
aunt, uncle, or other caregiver) and children birth to age five.

About Your
Instructor
Marguerite Wood,
“Miss Margee”
Margee has more than 35 years of
experience coordinating recreation
programs in several local
communities. For the past 15 years,
Margee has taught the Parent and
Toddler/Preschool class series in
Lake Orion, Oxford and at the
North Oakland YMCA. Her goal is
to have every child develop a love
for their classroom experience.
Margee holds a Bachelor’s
degreefrom Oakland University
with a minor in Management and
a concentration in Training and
Development. She lives in Oakland
Township with her husband and
two sons, ages 22 and 19. Margee
strives to make the classroom
exciting and happy and looks
forward to meeting new Heartfelt
Impressions families.
