We believe that a college education is the key to having opportunities in life. That’s why our scholarship will
reward students who are working hard to research, apply and choose a college. Winning is easy. All you
have to do is login to CollegeWeekLive and visit five colleges that interest you. One lucky winner will be
awarded a $5,000 scholarship. One entry per month plus five additional entry dates.
The American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) will award ten $2,000 scholarships during their annual
National Scholarship Contest. To apply students read a short essay about sprinklers and fire safety. After
finishing, they complete a 10-question quiz on what they just read. Each correct answer gives the student a
chance at winning of ten $2,000 scholarship (maximum 10 changes per entrant). To be eligible, applicants
must be a high school senior and plan to attend a college, university or trade school in the US in the fall.
Winners are randomly selected to receive a scholarship payable one-time directly to their respective
institution of higher learning. The scholarship is open to US citizens and legal residents.

attending Seminole State College. Students must be a Seminole County resident, attend SSC full or part time,

Bright House Networks Futures Leaders is a technology scholarship program designed to recognize high
school seniors in good standing in the Bright House Networks service area for their contributions to their
schools and local communities. Bright House Future Leaders will be named based on community service
activities, leadership skills and an essay describing the importance of leadership and community service.
Bright House Future Leaders winners will be awarded a computer laptop, software and carrying case. To be
considered for this program, students must *Attend a high school in the Bright House Networks service area
as a senior in good standing, *Have a minimum GPA of 2.5, *Demonstrate leadership abilities in school
activities or through work experiences, *Demonstrate a strong commitment to community service
involvement, and *Submit an application form and an essay describing the importance of leadership and

A $1000.00 scholarship to one graduating high school student wishing to attend an institution of higher
learning. Each applicant must meet the following criteria: a completed application, 2.5 or higher gpa, official
transcript, 3 recommendation letters, and a 250 word essay.
2-$1,000.00 and 1-$500.00 scholarships awarded to seniors of African descent graduating from a Seminole
County Florida high school. Qualifications include a 3.0 gpa, extracurricular activity involvement, letter of
recommendation, essay, and proof of acceptance at a college, university, or technical school.
Full-time Seminole County Public School employees who have a child who is graduating from a Seminole
County high school is eligible to apply for the scholarship. SASA is offering three $1000.00 scholarships to
children of employees. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need and academic performance.
Candidates should have an overall 3.0 GPA in those subjects related to their area of academic pursuit. The
scholarship can be used for any Florida public institution.
Three scholarships will be awarded to students in the geographical boundary of the Diocese of Orlando,
$1,000 per scholarship, on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, school and community
activities, and personal qualities and strengths. The application, when available, will be posted at the SHS
Guidance, Paying for College page and must be completed and received by the deadline. Required interviews
will take place following the application deadline; details are included in the application packet.
The Central Florida Chapter of the International Test and Evaluation Association is offering a $1000
scholarship to the best students with an interest in and a scholastic background in physical sciences,
mathematics, computer science, or engineering.
The National Scholars Program offers scholarships to U.S. citizens who are seeking a bachelor's degree at
one of the eighteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Institutions in any field of study in agriculture, food,
natural resource sciences or other related disciplines.
Scholarship given to graduating seniors in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake or Volusia counties with an
interest in running. The winners are selected by the Orlando Runners Club based on their academic

Students must be 1/4 or more degree American Indian, and be an enrolled member of a U. S. tribe. "U. S.
tribe" is defined as federally recognized, state recognized, or terminated. Students must be attending or
planning on attending a college or university within the U. S. on a full-time basis that is fully accredited.
Study must be at the college level, and can range from bachelor's degrees to postdoctoral study. Applicants
must have excellent grades, high ACT or SAT scores, some work experience, a track record of leadership,
and a strong commitment to their Indian community. Students applying to any of these three programs are
required to apply for all other sources of funds, write a comprehensive essay about themselves and their
plans, and provide proof of high school completion, college admission, and tribal enrollment. "All other
sources" includes federal financial aid, tribal scholarships, private scholarships, loans, and grants. The search
for scholarships must be exhaustive, using the Internet, printed scholarship directories, and identification of
scholarships in the student's local community.
Those eligible to apply for the scholarship are children of the United States military and National Guard, and
military reservists who were federalized and died on active duty on or after Sept. 11, 2001. This includes
legally adopted children or children of a spouse by a prior marriage or dependent children as defined by the
United States Armed Services for active duty personnel. An applicant must be a high school senior or high
school graduate to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship is for undergraduate study at a U.S. school of
higher education. The deadline to apply is April 15 of each year. Awards are made in early May and are
renewable.
This is a competitively awarded program which is available to undergraduate students with disabilities who
demonstrate financial need and enroll in a State University System of Florida institution. In order to
demonstrate financial need, all applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA). The FAFSA should be completed by April 15.

The Theodore Johnson Scholarship Program is available to employees or children of UPS employees that
live in Florida. Financial need is a determining factor. Awards range from $1,000 to $10,000 per year.
The Scholarship Fund is used solely for students aspiring to further their education. Students attending

The Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce seeks to promote and support academic achievement,
while recognizing students who continually strive for excellence in their high school careers as well as their
community involvement. The scholarship will be for $1000. The student and/or student’s family must meet
at least one of the following: Live in Sanford OR attend a Sanford school OR work or have business in
Sanford OR the applicant must perform Community Service in Sanford.
Seminole High School Alumni Association awards $1000.00 scholarships to Seminole High School seniors
who will be attending Seminole State College. Financial need is considered but is not a requirement.

Five scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to graduating high school seniors with a 2.7 gpa or higher and
significant community service involvement. Three of these scholarships will be awarded to minority

The Kiwanis Club of Sanford seeks to award The Howard Welchel Memorial scholarship to a deserving
Seminole High School graduate planning to attend Seminole State College. Applicant must expect to
graduate from Seminole High School no later than June of the current year and plan to attend Seminole State
College. Applicant must have a 3.0 G.P.A. based on grades earned in high school and submit the scholarship
application, demonstrate financial need, provide a written statement of expected goals, two letters of
recommendations, candidate interview, and a completed a community service project.
The Masters & Wardens Association of the 17th District awards up to six $1000.00 scholarships will be
awarded to high school seniors who will attend an accredited college or university. Students need to submit
a completed application, letter of recommendation, and an essay in 1250 words or less on “What it means to
be an American!”

The Pearlie Mae Ford Community Service Club of Sanford will award a $500 scholarship to a deserving
student who has struggled personally or academically in school, who has given back through service to his or
her community, and wants a second chance in furthering his or her education.
This competition solicits science and mathematics projects and their companion papers. Eligibility is
restricted to resident high school students in Brevard, Orange, Osceola, Lake, Marion, Polk, Seminole, and

The Suburban Republican Women’s Club awards a scholarship of at least $1000 to a female who has shown
leadership in school or extracurricular activities. Applicants must be female, accepted to any accredited
college, university or vocational technical program. She must have a 2.5 GPA and be a registered or preregistered Republican in Seminole County if she is at least 17 ½ years old.
Four types of scholarships:

Two–year $2000.00 scholarships for students seeking a career in the heavy equipment management industry.
Financial assistance is available to dependents of active, retired, and deceased soldiers if the student has a
minimum 2.0 gpa, be a full-time undergraduate and be a dependent of a soldier.
The Institute for International Education of Students [IES} is committed to providing opportunities for
students of diverse cultural backgrounds who have been traditionally under-represented on study abroad
programs. Equally, IES recognizes those students who show an interest in enhancing the study abroad

The Financial Service Centers of Florida disAdvantaged Scholarship has been established to support

from a Florida high school, receive admission to a Florida college or university, have earned at least a 2.5

Two academic and two need-based scholarships established to honor Prince Butler (P.B.) Boston’s devotion

The mission of this scholarship is to encourage students to pursue a course of training in Environmental

The QuestBridge National College Match helps high-achieving low-income high school seniors gain
admission and full four-year scholarships to some of the nation's most selective colleges. The QuestBridge
National College Match is designed for high school seniors who have shown outstanding academic ability
despite facing economic challenges. QuestBridge does not have fixed criteria for GPA, standardized test
scores, or income. When selecting finalists, we try to answer the following questions: "Does this student
have the motivation and ability to thrive at one of our partner colleges?" and "What obstacles has this student
overme, socioeconomic and otherwise?"
For students who desire to become servant leaders that are spiritually alive, intellectually alert, physically
disciplined, socially adept, and professionally competent. Scholarship amounts will range from $2500.00 to
full tuition. To participate in the competition, students must be admitted to the university, be nominated by a
church, school, community leader, or by an ORU alumnus, faculty, or staff member and be invited by ORU
to participate.
The Wendy’s High School Heisman award honors both male and female high school students who excel in
academics, athletics, and student leadership. Eligibility for application is limited exclusively to men and
women entering their senior year of high school and who have at least a “B” grade average and participate in
at least one of the 33 sports officially sanctioned by the National Federation of State High Schools.
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who
deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of

A President's Scholarship, for the incoming cohort of fall 2014, will include all tuition and fees, including
meals and standard room. For in-state students, part of this is expected to be the Zell Miller/HOPE
Scholarship provided by the State of Georgia. For out-of-state students, this includes a tuition waiver, which
reduces the cost of tuition to the same as that of an in-state student. When added to the other awards the

The Ron Brown Scholarship Program awards scholarships to academically talented, highly motivated
African American students who are currently seniors in high school and plan to pursue undergraduate
degrees full-time. Established in 1996, the program honors the late Ronald H. Brown, Secretary of
Commerce during the Clinton administration and is funded entirely through the generosity of the CAP
Charitable Foundation, a private family foundation dedicated to education, the arts, and the environment. To
date, 221 students have been named Ron Brown Scholars and awarded scholarships totaling $40,000 for each
student ($10,000 per year for four years). The scholarships may be used at any four-year college or
university in the U.S. and is not limited to particular academic disciplines.
A new highly selective college scholarship program for top high school seniors (3.5 unweighted gpa or
higher and test scores in the top 15% (CR+M SAT 1200 or higher; ACT 26 or higher) with significant
financial need (typically Pell Grant eligible families) seeking to attend the nation’s best colleges and
universities. Up to 40 applicants will be selected from a nationwide pool.
One student (grades 5-12) from each school, who most deserves to be recognized for volunteer community
service, could win a $1000.00 award, a silver medallion and a trip to Washington, D.C. next May.
The McDermott Scholars Program covers four years of academic expenses, travel, plus a living stipend for a

Since 1942, Science Service has made dreams come true through the Science Talent Search (STS). Intel is
the sponsor of this nationwide competition—America's oldest and most highly regarded pre-college science

undergraduate study at BU.

The Presidential Scholarship is a renewable, merit-based award covering full tuition, room, board (up to 19
meals perweek plan), general fee, and the cost of textbooks for eight consecutive semesters. Representing
diverse intellectual, social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds, Presidential Scholars are transformational
leaders both on and off campus who have demonstrated a love of learning and a commitment to enhancing
both their local and broader civic communities.
Three award levels ranging from $6,000 to $10,000 over four years. Criteria based on IB Diploma score,

Candidates are asked to prepare a speech on one of the given topics and memorize it in order to participate in
the oratorical contest. A copy of the speech along with the application form must be submitted by December

recognized as leaders by their peers; and need financial assistance to attend college. 500 scholarships are
awarded each year and 25 are guaranteed to be from Florida.
The “Negro Spiritual” Scholarship Foundation sponsors a vocal competition for sacred music performed by
the solo voice in characteristic Negro spiritual style. Senior high school students of eleventh or twelfth grade
level who are of Afro-ethnic descent may enter a statewide vocal competition in District of Columbia,
Florida, Massachusetts or Tennessee to rehearse and perform these arranged Negro spirituals.
The United States JCI Senate Florida chapter awards two-$500.00 scholarships and one-$1,000.00 need
based scholarship to high school graduates who attend a college or vocational school full time.

scholarship? If so, the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation is awarding a minimum of $400,000.00 to high
school seniors. The program will award a minimum of 400 scholarships to students entering their freshman

This year’s theme is “Kindness Without Borders: Open Eyes, Open Hearts in our Global Village.” Students
may submit an essay or artwork. Essays may be persuasive, informative, narrative, or true story and may not
exceed 1000 words. Artwork can be submitted in virtually any two dimensional media, including drawing,
painting, collage, photography, and graphic design. Students may only submit one piece of artwork (in any
medium) within the art contest. Students who submit artwork are still permitted to enter one submission in

1800Wheelchair.com announces their second annual scholarship award. Established in 2006, the scholarship
fund will award two $500 scholarships to an undergraduate student. The scholarship is open to students of

The CFMC Foundation will award up to $10,000 in scholarships to students from Orange, Osceola, and

This scholarship/exchange program provides an opportunity for graduating high school seniors to spend one
year in Germany exploring their career interests. Although previous study of German is advantageous, it is

ExploraVision is a competition for all students in grades K-12. It is designed to encourage students to
combine their imagination with their knowledge of science and technology to explore visions of the future.
Teams of students select a technology, research how it works and why it was invented, and then project how
that technology may change in the future. They must then identify what breakthroughs are required for their
vision to become a reality and describe the positive and negative consequences of their technology on
society. Winning ideas have focused on things as simple as ballpoint pens and as complex as satellite
communications. The student teams write a paper and draw a series of Web page graphics to describe their

the Constitution offers. Among other programs, the We the Students Scholarship competition allows us to
engage and educate thousands of students like yourself, who are interested in liberty, the founding principles,
and personal responsibility. Essay Question: In 800 words or fewer, please answer the following
question: “Since you were born, has America moved closer to or further away from the ideals outlined in the
Declaration of Independence.” Student Prizes: 1st place: $5,000; 2nd place: $3,000; 3rd place: $1,500;

The Rotary Club of Seminole County South will be hosting the Sixteenth Annual Rotary Rising Achievers
Program on Sunday, April 24, 2016. This program is to recognize two seniors from each of our Seminole
County Public Schools who have had to overcome challenges, adversity or managed unusual responsibilities
yet are graduating and hope to achieve their goals. We are particularly interested in honoring students who
might not otherwise receive recognition. We want this award to serve both as a recognition of their
achievement as well as an encouragement to continue to strive for their goals. Each student recognized will
be invited to bring his/her parents/guardians to the program as well as a teacher who has had a significant
influence on that student’s life. The program will be held at the Altamonte Hilton Hotel and will include
dinner.
A scholarship for graduating seniors who has have played varsity sport for at least one season, have not
accepted any athletic scholarship funds or grants to play in college, have a minimum 2.0 gpa, be accepted to
a two- or four-year college, and the nomination of their coach.
The Seminole County Medical Society Foundation is proud to offer the Dr. Willie Newman Scholarship,
designed to aid high school seniors who currently attend a school in Seminole County, and who wish to
further their education in the sciences. Preference will be given to applicants in the top 25% of their class
who have done well in at least three science courses during high school. To be eligible, applicants must
submit 1) a transcript of his/her grades through the first semester of the current school year; 2) a list of
extracurricular activities; and 3) an essay of 300 words or less about themselves and their goals for college.
One scholarship per year of up to $1,000 will be awarded on the basis of merit and need. The deadline for

Available Fall 2014, the covers the full cost of tuition, room and board, and some living expenses at Rollins
College for the 2014-15 academic year. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years as long as the
recipient makes satisfactory progress toward graduation and earns a grade-point average of 2.8 or higher.
Over four years, the scholarship amount will far exceed $200,000. To qualify students must have a 3.0 gpa
and have been a member of the Boys & Girls Club for at least the past two years.
The DAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse
disciplines including history, law, nursing, and education. The DAR Scholarship Committee awards
scholarships to qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin. All multi-year
scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an
accredited college or university in the United States.
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response
to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for
submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the
month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.

Six deserving Florida high school graduating seniors interested in pursuing a medical science course of study
at a Florida college or university will be awarded scholarships (2-$1000; 4-$500 scholarships). An electronic

Regions will award sixteen $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors from states with Regions branches
who will attend college this year. To enter, write a 500-word essay about an African-American, past or
present, who has inspired you.
One $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a Seminole HS senior who will be a full-time student in an
accredited Florida college or university and interested or intent on pursuing a medical or science course of
study.
Established in January of 1999, the David Logan Scholarship is awarded each year to four high school
seniors, one male and one female, in both Tampa Bay and Central Florida, who excel in athletics and
academics. The scholarship is granted in the memory of David Logan, a former NFL players and
sportscaster. The $2500.00 scholarship is meant to assist seniors as they move onto college and further their
academic and athletic careers.
It is the goal of the Seminole County Council of PTAs/PTSAs to award scholarships to students on the basis
of financial need and academic performance. The scholarship award may be used at the following of Florida
public education institutions: (a) Vocational/Technical School, (b) Junior/Community College, (c) Four-year
College or University. To be eligible for a scholarship, an applicant must: (1) Be a senior attending a
Seminole County high school and have been in attendance no less then six months prior to submitting the
application, (2) Submit application, copy of most current tax returns (student and parents), reference letters,
and transcripts, to the SCCPTA no later than midnight, March 31, (3) Have applied to be a full-time student
in a Florida Vocational/Technical School (2.0 GPA minimum), Junior/Community College (2.5 GPA
minimum), or four-year College or University (3.0 GPA minimum), (4) Financial need: Explain in detail the
reasons why financial assistance is needed. (Example: Type of family hardship or any other specific
circumstances), (5) Submit SAT and/or ACT scores, if applicable.
High school juniors and seniors from Maine to Florida are invited to participate in the annual Moody's Mega
Math Challenge for a chance to win part of $100,000 in scholarship prizes. The competition, which is
entirely Internet based and free of entrance and participation fees, challenges teams of students to solve an
open-ended, realistic, applied math-modeling problem focused on real-world issues in just 14 hours. The
problem is unknown to teams until Challenge weekend (March 6-7) when they are able to download it and
work on their solution.
The Seminole Scholars Programs Scholarship is available to high school seniors or graduates with residence
in Seminole County, Florida. Recipients must have at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, have completed the FAFSA
to show unmet need, enroll as a Freshman in the following academic year at a 2 or 4 year accredited college,
and reside in Seminole County, Florida. Each scholarship recipient will receive $5,000 disbursed over a fouryear period.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on the following four factors which will be considered equally:
academic achievement, financial need, participation and leadership in community and school activities, work
experience, educational and career goals, and unusual circumstances, and other criteria: being a firstgeneration college student, female, minority, military veteran or a dependent of military personnel. The
majority of the scholarships will be awarded to students majoring in STEM fields, with a heavy emphasis on

scholarship is valued at $1,000/year.
Through the VFW’s Scout of the Year program, members of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who display
standout citizenship, patriotism, and love of country have the opportunity to be rewarded with college
scholarships of up to $5,000.
Awards range from $10,000 to $2,500. To be eligible, the student must have earned Eagle Award and
religious emblem, must be a high school student and Florida resident, must be in a troop chartered to an
American Legion Post or the son or grandson of a Legion member or parent eligible to join the American

The Woman’s Club of Winter Park, Inc. offers scholarships to worthy students in financial need from
Orange and Seminole County who plan to attend a two – four year accredited college or university. The
scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,000.
ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of
chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards of up to $5,000* are given to qualified students. African
American, Hispanic, or American Indian high school seniors or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors
pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible to apply at
www.acs.org/scholars.
SSF helps students realize their dream of a college education through an innovative blend of a rent-free
housing scholarship award, combined with a cooperative living experience for those attending six Florida
College Campuses (Florida A&M, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida State University, Tallahassee
Community College, Santa Fe College, and the University of Florida). Students don’t pay rent but are
responsible for share of basic household expenses such as food and utilities. To be eligible, students must

 Early College Transition Scholarship (Career Dual Enrollment Students): This is a one-semester award
to be paid out in the Fall Term immediately following high school graduation. Students must have a 2.0
or higher GPA in all dual enrollment courses and an overall 2.0 GPA in high school courses. Students
must pursue an Associate in Science degree or career certificate. The award covers $1,200 toward tuition
and fees.

The organization aims to provide financial support and promote personal development to young women from
the Central Florida area while they pursue undergraduate college degrees at accredited institutions. To
qualify, students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and show deep financial need through FAFSA and W-2
Tax forms. Students selected are matched with a mentor and receive a $1250 stipend each semester while
attending a four-year college. In order to maintain the scholarship throughout college, students are required
to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, follow mentor/student communication guidelines, and maintain a good
standing in the college community.
This scholarship is open to any Afro-American female student graduating from Seminole County’s Public
Schools with at least a 2.5 overall gpa or higher and planning to attend an accredited two or four-year college
or university.
This student scholarship program is open and available to students whose parents are Realtors or are licensed
real estate practitioners, or whose parents are employed by any local Realtor board/association or by the
Florida Realtors, as well as any Florida student currently enrolled at a school.
The Central Florida Jazz Society conducts an annual scholarship competition for jazz musicians who are
high school seniors or students in the first three years of college. A primary requisite is that the applicants are
mainly interested in furthering their studies in Jazz music. Auditions will be held Sunday, March 22,
beginning at 2 pm in the Keene Music Building (room 119) at Rollins College and are open to the public.
A $2,000.00 SSC scholarship will be awarded at the Seminole County Mathematics Contest April 2 on the
Sanford/Lake Mary SSC Campus. Preregistration deadline is March 10 – see your math teacher to register.
Tests will be given in Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus AB and Calculus BC, which must
correlate to the subject you are currently studying at school. Dual Enrollment students may not participate.
The Leadership Class and Booster Club of Seminole High School are proud to offer a $1000 scholarship in
memory of 2012 Graduate Chloe Zulcosky. This yearly scholarship will be awarded to a senior who
exemplifies the leadership qualities exhibited by Chloe throughout her life, and who plans to pursue an
academic future at a college or university of their choice.
The Florida Council for the Blind is offering four scholarships to outstanding blind students who are
residents of Florida and are enrolled in academic education, professional or technical training beyond high
school. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 and be considered legally
blind. In addition, the Florida Council of Citizens with Low Vision will award one $750 scholarship to a
student who shows academic excellence or potential in his or her field.
The Lake Mary Rotary plans to award six $1,000 scholarships, three to Seminole High School students and
three to Lake Mary High School students, to students who submit the best application and essay.

Scholarship for a Seminole County Public School senior who participates in the Exceptional Student
Education program at their high school.
Seminole State College has a long-standing tradition of offering one full-tuition scholarship to each of the
Seminole County public high schools. The minimum qualifications for recommendation require that the
student have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and plan to attend Seminole State in the fall
immediately following graduation. The recipient will receive the full-tuition scholarship for two academic
years as long as the student is enrolled full-time at Seminole State in a degree program and continues to
maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. The principal of each eligible high school is asked to
recommend the most qualified graduating senior to be considered for this prestigious award. Submit a
resume and a brief biographical statement to the IB Office if you wish to be considered.
Each Seminole County high school may select one student to be considered for this award. Out of those
selected by their school, one student is selected for the monetary award which includes tuition at SSC.
Students who plan to enroll in cultural arts classes at SSC this fall and have a 3.0 grade point average should
apply. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize academic achievement, unique skills or talents and to
provide cultural diversification in the student body. Final selection may take into consideration such

A $5,000 scholarship for Florida high school seniors with a minimum 3.0 gpa who “share SeaWorld’s

The Orphan Foundation of America in conjunction with the Casey Family Program is offering approximately
100 new scholarships annually for college-bound young people that have been orphaned or are transitioning
out of foster care. Applications will be made available January 31 - March 31.
The Kobrin Family has created the Kobrin Family Scholarship which is awarded to a first-time-in-college
freshman at the University of Central Florida. Scholarships have been granted since 1990. This year, the

The Law Firm of Pajcic & Pajcic is offering a unique scholarship opportunity for seniors at your school who
are planning to attend college. We are holding an essay contest on the subject of "Distracted Driving".
Statistics show one of every ten fatal crashes in the U.S. involves distraction, accounting for more than 3,000
deaths per year. We are hoping our scholarship contest raises awareness among young drivers on the dangers
of this growing problem. And more importantly, we are hoping to assist deserving students in achieving their

The Extend the Dream Scholarship is provided through funds from the Southern Association for College
Admission Counseling Human Relations Committee. SACAC wants to recognize and reward deserving
students. This scholarship is awarded based on financial need, academic achievement and community

The Florida JCI Senate awards a $1000.00 scholarship to s high school graduate who attend a college or

Awarded to one graduating Seminole County high school senior that is planning to pursue an undergraduate
degree with a concentrated study of a minimum of 18 credit hours in History at an accredited college or
university in the United States. The applicant must have a GPA of at least a 3.25. This is a one-time award in
the amount of $500. All high school seniors who currently reside in Seminole County, who attend public or
home schools and who plan to pursue at least 18 credit hours in History are encouraged to apply.
The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate
programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science.

Seminole High School PTSA will offer two $500 annual scholarships to graduating SHS PTSA members.
These scholarships are designed for the well-rounded student interested in pursuing their career goals. The
awards are non-renewable one-year awards.
The Seminole County Mathematics Contest is held in April on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. Any student
who plans to attend SCC as a full time student is eligible to take the test. Students competing for the
scholarship will not be eligible to participate in any subject area competition. This test will not be returned to
the contestants.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. in the lower lobby outside J-100 and seating will commence at 8:45 a.m. All
contests will start promptly at 9:00 a.m.
 Upon completion of registration procedures, those students taking the Calculus Test will proceed, as a
group, to Rooms S-202 and S-203. Due to space restrictions; each team will be limited to four students.
 A separate twenty-question test to determine the recipient of the SCC Mathematics Scholarship, which
covers tuition for up to 60 credit hours taken at SCC, will be administered. Upon completion of
registration procedures, these students will proceed to Room S-206. The test will include questions from
Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and Precalculus.
A $1000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who will attend a state supported school.
Students need to submit a completed application, teacher recommendation, and an essay in 1250 words or
less on “What it means to be an American!”
The Central Florida Chapter of the International Test and Evaluation Association is offering a scholarship to
students pursuing a degree in any of the physical sciences, mathematics, computer science, or engineering.
The scholarship will be for at least $1,000.00 and can be used during the 2014-2015 school year.
To be eligible for the Stanley Muller Scholarship, the student must:

The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Sunshine Chapter is pleased to announce the
