in large numbers or amounts

early 17th century: from Irish go leor, literally 'to sufficiency'.

Usage
The word is an example of a postpositive adjective, which means it

700 clowns surround you, don’t say “There are galore clowns.”
The correct way to express this is: “There are clowns galore.”
We cannot explain the phenomenon yet, though we have theories
galore.
There were daffodils galore in the park.
It is a big room with air and sunshine galore.
There were prizes galore for all events.
