Rough Riders from the 2011 tour
November 6 - 13, 2016
This tour is designed to be
enjoyed by people of all ages
and energy levels. If any of the
following describe yourself
then join us on this trip!
Navajoland is on your bucket list!  You enjoy culturally centered ecotourism.  You own a rug cleaning business: you and your staff need to know more about
Navajo weavings.  You are a Tony Hillerman fan!  You like a well-planned comfortable tour and enjoy traveling with like-minded people: no whiners!  You like true
cultural experiences and learning on your vacation.  You feel that your last group bus tour was ordinary and would like to experience the extraordinary!
If you have been to some of the places that we visit, you have not visited them in the Tour New Mexico way. Our caring staff as well as the Navajo people that we
have known for many years combine to give you a greater understanding and appreciation for Navajo society and culture. These people are not simply "a weaver"
"a rancher" "a trader" "a cowboy" "a tour operator" they are all friends that you have yet to meet!
Join us for a beautiful and informative trip to a country within our country: Navajoland. This exciting tour will
give you an in-depth look into the daily lives of the Navajo who learned to live and flourish in the stark desert
by adopting Spanish and Anglo practices of sheep herding, ranching, making silver jewelry and most notably,
by weaving. The trading posts that we visit still trade goods for weavings as they have for over a century.
