THE PROGRAM
THE LOCATION
Study abroad at one of
Mexico’s first universities,
the University of Oaxaca,
established in 1827. Classes
are taught by faculty of the
Facultad de Idiomas, the
prestigious language branch
of the university and CCRI
instructors. The multifaceted
program provides students
with an ideal learning
environment that includes
a combination of intensive,
small-size language classes,
culture and civilization
courses and housing with
local families. Additionally,
students will have the
opportunity to experience
the heritage of Oaxaca by
participating in cultural events
and excursions.
Oaxaca is a colorful, colonial
city with a vibrant cultural
center. Experience the natural
beauty of this highland,
historic city surrounded by
lush mountains and indigenous villages. Visit the ruins
of Monte Alban, one of the
most impressive archaeological sites in Mexico, and Mitla
Pyramids to name just two.
Oaxaca offers a perfect blend
of centuries-old traditions,
folklore and modern world
conveniences.
