2016-2017 Board Member Bios - Assumption Catholic School

Grace Lipari, President
Grace is the mom of two energetic and quick-witted Assumption students, Sophia
(rising 6th) and Caden (rising 2nd). Having now lived in Jacksonville for 8 years,
she considers herself a true Floridian and wholeheartedly considers North
Florida home! As an active member
of the Assumption Catholic School
and Church community, Grace has
worked with and/or led a handful
of committees. This involvement
includes, but is not limited to, the
fall festival, the father/daughter
dance, the annual farm and food
festival, treat day, teacher
appreciation week, and the school
supply committee. Grace has also
been room parent for both of her
children and currently co-teaches
the 7th grade garden elective held at
Assumption. When not running
carpools to school, sports or music lessons, Grace enjoys time in her home
gardens, dabbling in landscape design as well as spending time with friends and
family. With coffee running through her veins, she enthusiastically welcomes
each day!
Emily Taylor-White, Vice President
Emily is a retired Duval County 5th grade
teacher, is thrilled to join the 2016-2017
HSA Board as Vice President. A native of
Jacksonville and an active parent volunteer,
Emily brings years of experience and service
with her to the board. She has worn many
hats from, Girl Scout troop leader to
homeroom mother, and has worked on or
chaired numerous school events and
activities. Like many moms at ACS, she
spends quite a bit of time idling in the
carpool line, sitting on soccer fields, and in
the dance studio parking lot. She is happiest
when she is spending time with Joe, her
husband of 20 years, or playing with her
favorite 1st grader (Griffin) and 5th grader
(Celia). The family loves to travel, hit the
beach, kayak, and ski.

the upcoming school year! She is married
to ACS alumnus Justin and their son
Sean is a rising 3rd grader. She is active
in the Assumption school community
serving as co-chair for the annual Fall
Festival, homeroom parent and on
various other committees. She is also

Council of Catholic Women, member of
St. Gianna circle, Christ Renews His
Parish Continuation Committee
member, Children's Liturgy leader,
church gift shop volunteer and Cub
Scout Pack 106 Committee Member,

works full-time at the Jacksonville Center for Clinical Research as a Contract

up. She enjoys spending her free time with family, baking sweet treats and being
crafty.
Becky Helms, Treasurer
Becky is the mom of 2 boys, Davis
(upcoming 2nd grader) and Dyne
(upcoming Junior). She's a third
generation native of Jacksonville. Her
background is mortgage banking and
finance. When she read the ad in the
church bulletin in August 2015 that the
school was looking for a treasurer she
knew this would be a good fit! Hence, this
is her second year as Treasurer of the HSA
board. When not running the boys to
sports, Becky loves to be involved with
Cursillo (a diocesan based renewal
weekend) friends, family and visiting her
nieces in Tallahassee.
Julie Anna Milton, Historian
Julie Anna and her husband Michael have a long history with ACS. Michael
attended ACS K thru 8 and Julie Anna became involved with ACS 8 years ago
