days when families gathered around the radio for their evening
entertainment. Celebrating the sounds and songs of the season,
the show will follow the story of the Anderson family holiday reunion.
In true radio show fashion, it will be performed with dialogue,

A Christmas Carol
Sunday, December 15 • 2:00pm
Charles Dickens’ 1867 tour is off to a rough
start. Due to an inexplicable loss of his
luggage, he regretfully announces that he will
be unable to read from his beloved classic,
A Christmas Carol. All is not lost however;
Dickens delivers what he promised by
performing from memory the magical story of
Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from miserliness
to redemption. This one-man play, a
performance of Dickens’ classic holiday tale
adapted and performed by Greg Oliver Bodine, is based on the
condensed version Dickens himself used on his historic reading
tours of the United States.

The Engagements
by Kate Atkinson
This wholly original and
beautifully written book
tells and retells the story
of Ursula Todd, born in
England on a snowy night
in 1910. Each retelling
follows a slightly altered
potential life path, resulting
in a dizzying array of possible lives and
multiple wartime experiences. Don’t be
turned off by the fantastical premise; this
isn’t a work of science fiction.
by J. Courtney Sullivan
Multiple stories are
ingeniously woven together in
this novel, in which the author
explores our culture’s shifting
ideas about marriage and
romance as she follows
the path of a single ring
through multiple hands over
several decades. The stories are framed by the
account of the real-life single career woman
who came up with the advertising slogan “A
diamond is forever,” which created the demand
for the modern diamond engagement ring.

What Maisie Knew
Based on a novella by Henry James but set
in present-day NYC, this subtle, nuanced,
and affecting film about a bitter divorce and
custody battle is shown largely through the
perspective of the 6-year-old girl at the
center of it, and features a wonderful, natural performance
by a child actor.
Anne Marie Tognella, PR Specialist, Community Services
Loose Cannons
With typical Italian humor and passion,
spanning a few generations, this film broaches
the delicate subject of ‘coming out’ in a
successful, traditional southern Italian family.
Anna Karenina
This production uses unusual, creative
staging with a very theatrical feel. It is visually
breathtaking, enticing the imagination at
every turn. The theater adapts and morphs
to accommodate every scene; from a grand
ballroom, to an ice rink, to a horse race,
the scene transformation is magical! Lush costumes
and colors create a very dramatic effect. Be sure to
watch the bonus feature after the film!
