TPF Planege Newsletter Nº 11 | November 2013 TPF Planege in Mozambique in the Spatial Plan for Zambezi Valley As leader of TPF Consortium with the companies Synergia, Projetec and Biodesign, TPF Planege signed last 10th October with the Agency for the Development of Zambezi Valley (ADVZ), of the Ministry of Plan and Development of the Republic of Mozambique, the contract for the execution of the Spatial Plan for Zambezi Valley. The intervention area of 147 900 km2 covers the terminal part of the basin of Zambezi river, going from the border with Zambia and Zimbabwe to the river mouth, in an extension of about 900 km. In administrative terms the region includes the whole province of Tete and environing districts of Manica, Sofala and Zambezia provinces. This contract, which includes the studies of the Strategic Environmental Assessment, of the Multi-sector Plan of the Lower Zambezi Basin and of Digital Model of Decision Support, having the contribution of all involved agents in the following sectors: Mines, Agriculture and Forests, Transport and Communications, Environment, Tourism, Energy, Water, Fisheries, Health, Schools and Education, among others. With an implementation period of 12 months, TPF Consortium has also the collaboration of the Institute for Environmental Studies of the Free University Amsterdam and of the School of Statistics and Information Management of University Nova de Lisboa. 11/15/13 Training and Capacity Building of Angolan Technicians In a joint partnership of TPF Planege, TPF ANGOLA and SOLPREC – School of Advanced Training, and following a first seminar which took place last month of September in Luanda and under the subject "Tests in Stilts", is under preparation a seminar in Luanda in which the subjects to be dealt will be the Environmental Monitoring and Health and Safety in Site. 11/15/13 TPF Planege in the Algerian Hotel Sector TPF Planege, integrating a Consortium with Promontório, won the tender launched by the Algerian company Entreprise de Gestion Touristique du Centre concerning the remodelling project of Amaroua Hotel in Tizi-Ouzou in Algeria. The works include the architectural remodelling of the façades and interiors, elaboration of the rehabilitation projects of the structure of the building, technical networks and lifts, including the substitution of TPF Planege in the Portuguese Market of Works Coordination and Supervision Is under execution the supervision of the remodelling works of Montargil Channel within the scope of the maintenance and repair works of the infrastructures of the irrigation perimeter of Sorraia Valley, its Client being the Association of Irrigators and Beneficiaries of Sorraia Valley. 11/15/13 TPF Planege had its Certification of LNEC materials and the renewal of the whole furniture. The Hotel is 4 stars with 150 rooms, 4 being suites, and a restaurant, bar, boutique as well as all the infrastructures required for the services to be rendered to the clients. This interesting project, integrated in the Recovery Plan of the Network of Hotels, pursues the diversification of services that TPF Planege, together with TPF Algérie, is already rendering nowadays in the Algerian market. This contract gives sequence to the strategy of expansion in the field of Studies and Projects, besides the solid presence in the field of Supervision and Control of the construction of the railway infrastructures in that country. Quality Mark renewed TPF Planege has just had the renewal of its certification as General Manager for Quality of the Construction Works (Buildings and Monuments, Communication Ways and Urbanization Works and Hydraulic Works), awarded by the Commission of the Quality Mark of the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering of Portugal.
