Dawn For The Poor

Dawn for the Poor Foundation
“Bukang Liwayway”
October 2015
Director’s Report
7 But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared
to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I
may gain Christ. Phil 3:7-9 NIV
We thought of Dreams, Profession, Wealth, Opportunities, Expertise, Money, and the list will go on and on, that are evil and
should not be pursued. That is wrong, because what is not to be pursued is the love for them. Love for them will only produce
frustration, greediness, pride, dissatisfaction, distraction and superficial happiness. We can use them to glorify the Lord by being a
good steward of what He Has entrusted to us, but we should also be reminded every day that they are but rubbish compare to the
greatness of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. They are just but hays and straw, not for eternity, compare to the jewels produced by
the fruit of the Spirit that is for eternity. Are we willing to give our worldly possessions for the sake of Christ? It is far better to
lose our passing possessions on earth if we gain the owner and maker of all – Eternal God.

for province to take care of her husband. He is an alcoholic and don’t know the Lord, he was left by his youngest
son who is taking care of him after he beat him. Pray for him that my sister will show love and compassion
amidst her short temperament specially when drunk or has no money to buy an alcohol. What’s next? We don’t
know if my sister will come back or not but it also mean that Mimi and my schedule should allow us to take care of Alab and also able to
do our work and responsibility in the ministry. Right now we have been travelling Alab back and forth to Welfareville so he will be take
cared of or invite Mimi’s Mom in Bulacan whenever possible especially now that Mimi’s sister gave birth to another baby, my mother in
law is busy too. Very tough month and months to go, but we also have to decide what is next for Mimi next year. She will be enrolling
one counseling subject this semester to learn and grow. We finished a premarital counseling sessions with two of our former disciples,
pray for Fred as he officiate 2 weddings on January. Pray that we can get a time off and provision to take some vacation leave as a family,
we haven’t had an enough rest for months now and always on the go. Pray for protection, a few weeks ago there were few men rooming
around our house, our trust is in God’s hands. Alab is growing lovable each day, bubbling many words and making sounds a lot, made
our day happy. He is such a stress reliever to us, thank God for this luxury to have a baby so adorable. Please pray for him away from
accidents as he runs a lot and fall. Praise God for healing from sickness both for him and Mimi 2 weeks ago. Also for good health as we
travel him a lot and prone to many diseases and pollution. In all circumstances we thank God, and know He will never leave us nor
forsake us.
Thank you very much for all your love and prayers for us and for the Filipino poor.
Only Because of Jesus,
