He received his DMA in conducting from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 2007. His doctoral dissertation involved the research and performance of a few formerly unpublished motets from the early 17th century; this work was awarded the Julius Herford Prize for outstanding graduate research by the American Choral Director’s Association.
