Recall the Truth When You Feel Invisible
Have you ever felt swallowed up in the dailiness of tasks from home and work?
Sometimes crossing one thing off the list seems to make three more things jump on the
list! I know you are working hard and yet sometimes you may feel as if, in spite of all you
do, no one sees you.
The truth, dear sister, is that you are noticed by the One who matters most. So,
when you feel invisible or unnoticed, here are three Truths to tell yourself:
T HE W ORD
Truth #1: I am dearly loved. - Colossians 3:12 says, “Therefore, as God’s chosen
people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness and patience.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give
I want you to tell yourself the truth in the best possible way — the way that will get
yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you
through to you and give you reassurance that you’re a somebody who matters. So say it
know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

with me right now: “[Your name] is loved!”
Truth #2: I am accepted. - God backs up this truth in His Word: “to the praise of the
glory
of
His
grace,
by
which
He
made
us
accepted
in
the
Beloved”
(Ephesians 1:6 NKJV).
Amazing, isn’t it? You are not only accepted in the beloved, you are accepted by the
beloved Himself — God. You have value. You have worth. You are visible to Him!
Jesus overcomes our weariness by
showing us the Father.
When you accepted Christ, He accepted you. You may sometimes feel rejected, but how
you feel is not who you are! You are accepted, acceptable — no exception! So find a
mirror right now, look into it, and repeat the following words: “[Your name] is accepted.”
You are not ordinary. The work you do may
sometimes feel like it goes unnoticed. It may

When we have Christ, we have no need for anything more. Now, we can still sometimes
feel unfulfilled, but discontentment is a feeling, not a reality you dwell in!
When Jesus died on the cross, His final words were, “It is finished.” And when He said it,
He meant it — it is finished, completed. So it’s time to look in the mirror and say that truth
to yourself: “[Your name], you are complete!”

God inhabits the praises of His people
(Psalm 22:3)
FBCO “Taste & See” event reminded us that
God Sees You
God Remembers You
God Understands You
as women came together to sing their hearts out to the
Lord in one mind and in one accord!
God Sees You - Hagar was a young woman. She was
not only a slave, but a slave to her circumstances that were
not of her choosing. Now pregnant she is now scorned by
the one whom had had this bright idea; scorned to the
point of abuse. Tired of the vexation she runs for the
dessert. She feels hopeless, and escapes into a hopeless
land. There, an Angel of the Lord finds her. It is the Lord
God! He encourages her and then sends her back to
Sarah. Personally, I am sad for Hagar, but that is not
Hagar’s response; she is filled with hope because the Lord
sees her! She realizes that not only does God have plans
for the chosen couple, but He also has plans for her! Dear
sisters, please know that that same God sees you! And
even if you are struggling with an ongoing vexation, know
that the God who had plans for Hagar has plans for you.
God Will Remember You - Hannah was a married woman
dealing with infertility. She longed to hold a child of her own in
her arms, but for whatever reason God had not opened her womb
to conceive. Her husband’s other wife, Peninnah, had had babies
for her beloved husband, and she taunted Hannah relentlessly for
being barren, adding great insult to injury. This pain was too
much to bear. While at the temple, Hannah prayed, NO, she cried
out to God in great despair. Please give me a child, Lord! So
desperate, she makes an extraordinary uncommon promise to God
– She cries “God if you give me a child I will give him back to
you”. And she is serious. So distraught in her prayers that the
Priest Eli thinks she is drunk and reprimands her. Here is this
woman overcome in her grief and the very one designated by God
to console His people is mocking her. How much more can
Hannah take? She tells the priest, I was pouring out my soul to the
Lord! After her return home, Hannah’s husband made love to her
and it is said that the Lord remembered Hannah. Hannah
conceived and gave birth to her son, Samuel. She gave him this
name because she had asked the Lord for him. Our wait may be
long and painful, but don’t forget that God remembers you, your
need, and that very thing you have been longing for.
God Understands You - If only He had been there, her brother Lazarus, would not
have died. Mary of Bethany, in full out mourning amidst her friends, rushes to the feet of
Jesus when she hears that He has finally come. The scripture says that she throws herself
down at his feet, exclaiming “if only you had been here”…if only had been here… When
Jesus sees Mary’s disappointment in Him and the extent of her grief, He is overcome.
Jesus, too, then begins to weep. Psalm 147:5 says Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit! Jesus does identify with our pain, emotions and, yes, even
our disappointments in Him. More than that He understands us far better than we even
understand ourselves. God’s understanding has no limit. Where could I go, oh where
could I go - Seeking a refuge for my soul - Needing a friend to save me in the end Where could I go but to the Lord. God’s understanding has no limits, and because His
word says so, I say to you, God understands you!

Worshipping God
with Your Life
What does it mean to worship God with
your life? Does it mean singing praise
songs every waking moment, walking
around with a Bible in your hand, or
praying 24/7? Even though that’s
awesome, it’s not really worship unless it
comes from your heart.
Psalm 100 says
1. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord all the earth.
2. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come into His presence with singing.
3. Know that the Lord He is God. It is He who made us, and we are His. We are His people, and the sheep of His
pasture.
4. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
5. For the Lord is good, His steadfast love endures forever. And His faithfulness to all generations.”
Let’s break it down verse by verse and see what the Bible has to say about worshipping God with your life.
Verse 1-2a says we are to serve God and be joyful. We are to trust Him and His wisdom knowing that serving
Him with a joyful heart we will be blessed. We are not to be like the world and be discontent. How many times
do we overlook the blessing that we already have thinking something new will be better?
The second part of verse 2 says “with gladness”. God is not a dictator who forces His people to serve Him. We
are not puppets. We have a free will. He wants us to serve Him with a glad attitude, not a grumpy one. He
knows our hearts. We cannot hide from God. We can pretend our motives are pure, but God knows our true
intentions.
Verse 3 tells us that just like sheep rely on the shepherd, we are to rely on God. He gives us exactly what we
need, not only physically, but also what we need to make right decisions. Where and how does He do this? He
tells us in the Bible, through mature believers and in our worship services. He also tells us the consequences if
we choose to disobey Him. God’s got a plan. He knows best. Do we ever justify our own plans to make them
sound good? We justify things even though they aren’t ok. Sometimes we are more interested in pleasing
ourselves or others instead of pleasing God. But we need to remember it is better to please God than to please
man.
Verse 4 says to give thanks and praise to God. It’s easy to give thanks to God when things are great. But what
about when the circumstances in our lives are hard and confusing? Is it easy to give thanks then? Are we
supposed to? This verse says yes! Romans 8:28 says “And we know that for those who love God, all things
work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose.” Phil 4 tells us to rejoice and be
thankful in everything.
Verse 5 says that God is so good to us! He loves us so much and is so faithful! His ways are best and he wants
us to be victorious through Him.
The circumstances in my life this past year have proven just how good God is. I am so thankful for His
faithfulness. Just remember, He will let us make our own choices and suffer the consequences when what we do
is different from His plan.
Do you listen to God and pursue Him and His plan for your life?
So, what does it mean to worship God with your life?
