Ruth 2:172:17-23
20 And Naomi said to her
daughter-in-law, “May he be
blessed by the LORD, whose kindness has not forsaken the
living or the dead!” Naomi also said to her, “The man is a
close relative of ours, one of our redeemers.” 21 And Ruth the
Moabite said, “Besides, he said to me, ‘You shall keep close
by my young men until they have finished all my harvest.’”
22 And Naomi said to Ruth, her daughter-in-law, “It is good,
my daughter, that you go out with his young women, lest in
another field you be assaulted.” 23 So she kept close to the
young women of Boaz, gleaning until the end of the barley
and wheat harvests. And she lived with her mother-in-law.
Ruth 2:172:17-23
17 So she gleaned in
the field until evening. Then she beat out
what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.
18 And she took it up and went into the city. Her mother-inlaw saw what she had gleaned. She also brought out and
gave her what food she had left over after being satisfied.
19 And her mother-in-law said to her, “Where did you glean
today? And where have you worked? Blessed be the
man who took notice of you.” So she told her mother-in-law
with whom she had worked and said, “The man's name with
whom I worked today is Boaz.”
Ruth 2:172:17-23

of the body and the mind, and were by nature
children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
The Job of the ‘Kinsman Redeemer’
The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer
to death; when he meets him, he shall put him to
death. 20 And if he pushed him out of hatred or hurled
something at him, lying in wait, so that he died, 21 or in
enmity struck him down with his hand, so that he died,
then he who struck the blow shall be put to death. He is
a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the

Or if he grows rich he may redeem himself.

that in the coming ages he might show the
immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us
in Christ Jesus.
10 For we
are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that
we should walk in them.
The Job of the ‘Kinsman Redeemer’
“If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies
and has no son, the wife of the dead man shall not be
married outside the family to a stranger. Her husband's
brother shall go in to her and take her as his wife and
perform the duty of a husband's brother to her. 6 And
the first son whom she bears shall succeed to the
name of his dead brother, that his name may not be
blotted out of Israel.

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother
and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one
flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it
refers to Christ and the church.
