Celebrating Five Rewarding Years
of Operation
In February, the Macarthur Gateway
Day Club celebrated its first five years
of operation. Ray James, RSL State
Branch, sub-Branch President Dutchy
Holland, , and Ann Lewis, representing
the Department of Veterans’ Affairs,
were among the distinguished
guests. Ann Lewis during her speech
acknowledged the valuable role the
volunteers have played over the last five
years, and the ongoing support provided
by the sub-Branch, the Campbelltown
RSL Club and Cabra-Vale Diggers.
Representatives from neighbouring Day
Clubs in Evans Head, Yamba, Maclean
and Grafton also attended.
a special thank you to all the volunteers
who were awarded service badges,
especially to Mary Archer for 30 years
of service.

On February 25, Carinya RSL Day
Club at South Hurstville celebrated
its 31st birthday. The birthday was
attended by RSL Day Club State
Coordinator Tom Barnsley, Day Club
Committee members and members
of neighbouring clubs Bill Gibbs and
Marg Wood, and Naomi Blundell from
DVA. Congratulations to the club, and
