Shapes
The 3x5 card method allows a designer to very quickly test a variety of interes ng glider shapes (some fly be er than others).
A key design considera on is how to best use the limited 3x5 card space to create effec ve overall shapes and their various
smaller details. Shapes may be: rectangular (the 3x5 card shape), regular (wing & tail shape), canard (tail in front shape),
triangle (delta shape), tandem (wing & tail same size shape), flying wing (wing/tail combined), and hybrids (shapes combined).
Various examples, including those using s ck or straw bodies, are shown below:
