18 April: FRG Leadership Training: 0815-1500: Commons, Building 8950: The Leadership Training teaches about
Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI), Army Regulations (ARs) and other policy guidance (down to local
guidance) that are relevant to your role. This training has been established to provide FRG leaders with an awareness
of your role, the responsibilities of the commander and how they can best assist the commander in establishing and
maintaining his or her Family Readiness Program. Pre-registration required by: April 14, 2017. To receive free

19 April: Launching Hope: 0900-1100: Commons, Building 8950: Launching Hope is a Scream Free program. It is

19 April: Blended Retirement Seminar: 1800-1900: Building 5700, Room 282: This will be a discussion of the
significant changes to the current military retirement system, including how retirement pay will be calculated,
continuation pay, and the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) with matching government contributions. Pre-registration is

24 April: Family and Friend CPR: 0800-1100: Building 5700, Room 284: The New Parent Support Program in
collaboration with the AHA are offering a free orientation to CPR class. Child care provided and no children allowed.
Although this class does not offer a certification, it offers the basics to save someone's life. EFMP friendly. For child

24 April: Stroller Parade: The 4th Annual Stroller Parade and Decorating Contest will bring awareness to the
community’s effort to prevent and confront all forms of child abuse and neglect. Meeting at the Primary School Track on
Wednesday, April 26 at 9:30 am for a parade and a performance by the school band and choir. The parade will last
approximately one hour. Please have your stroller decorated prior to the event. This event is free. Strollers, wagons,
and trikes are all welcome! Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Winners will be chosen by “People
Choice Award” votes at the event. Registration deadline is on Monday, April 24. Children are welcome. For more
