Welcome to Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge, one of Dublin’s finest 4 star
hotels. Located on the corner of Merrion road and Simmonscourt
road, the hotel is adjacent to the RDS, close to the Aviva Stadium
and within walking distance to Dublin city centre.
A listed Victorian building at the heart of the capital’s business
and embassy district, it boasts 304 newly renovated bedrooms,
a magnificent lobby area, meetings rooms and events space
equipped with everything you need.
Founded in 1792, this historic building once stood as a Masonic
Girls School. It was bought in the late eighties and converted
into a hotel. It offers old world charm boasting some of the most
advanced building and engineering techniques of its day.
The hotel offers underground car parking for over 200 cars along
with a host of excellent transport links including a DART station
and bus stops within a 3 minute walk.

refurbishment has seen all our standard rooms upgraded to

Given its proximity to the RDS and city centre, this venue is perfect
for corporate hospitality. Designed with classical décor, the 5 newly
refurbished executive style meeting rooms have all been purpose
built and can cater for meetings up to 50 delegates. The meeting
rooms feature high-spec integrated screens and projectors
together with multiple power points for laptops.
Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge is an ideal venue for hosting a wide range

Thomas Prior Hall is a unique and excellent venue whatever the
occasion. Designed to hold up to 230 people theatre style and 160
people banqueting style, this venue can also be used for meetings,
conferences and special events. The impressive décor and vast space
can be adapted to many different layouts. With state-of-the-art
technology, onsite IT assistance and an expert events team, we will
ensure that the clients’ experience is at the heart of our response.
The team has put together some fantastic menus to suit all occasions.
A Unique Wedding Venue
Nestled beautifully in landscaped gardens, the Thomas Prior
Hall offers an experience in timeless opulence combined with
modern sophistication. Once used as an assembly hall, the
character and history of the room is evident as soon as you
enter. If you look close enough you will see the engravings in the
walls made by the students themselves.
This stunning historic building has retained many of its original
features including its arched windows, spectacular vaulted
ceilings, oak panelled walls and original mosaic tiling which along
with three stunning chandeliers provide the perfect backdrop
whatever the occasion.
Thomas Prior Hall is also approved for civil ceremonies and civil
partnerships. Tom’s Bar and the atrium lounge is the ideal space for your
drinks reception. Weather permitting, why not try our front lawns which
is also particularly popular for drinks receptions. A bright and spacious
area which is both comfortable and warm, where guests will experience
the welcoming hospitality of our dedicated and professional team.
