Flowcharts­ are a work in progress, and will be updated as time goes on. We will be sharing
with all RIS members for a discussion at a future meeting.
Emergency procedures:
● “Essential personnel”: Dean, ADs, Building manager.
● emergency phone chain: if you haven’t heard from your contact, you should contact
Janet. If Janet is not reachable, contact one of the other ADs on the list or Dean.
Emergency phone list has been updated with information.
● CRR & HSL are staging areas.
● Personnel who come in will be expected to staff CRR & HSL first.
● Keys: core elevator key will open CRR, NRR, and CIRC. (NRR has keys to all public
areas).
● Emergency procedures will be developed for West and East campus libraries; staff will
receive training (by police, etc.).
● Know alternate and emergency exits in your work areas, especially public service points.
● Know where fire extinguishers are.
● TLT staff need to be part of communication chain for CRR and NRR services.
● Phone recording will have staff instructions also.
Admin Council update: Erich Bremer is the new IT person in Administrative Council.

Spring Workshops ­ Start thinking about ideas. Would like to have more recorded workshops.
Bonnie will be creating a record EndNote session.

Kristen will hire new students to begin officially this Spring­
promotional material, please let us know if you have any or any ideas. DoIT Info, Sinc
Sites, Career Center, Academic Advising, Bus Schedule, Parking, Maps, etc. as well as
Library material.
Weekend chat service­feedback, please let William know­ please call student when you are
available so they are aware they can reach you as needed.
Reference noticeable presence in CRR should be given some thought for if/when money is
available for renovation.
One­on­One Appointment Form­Located under the Services tab, also added to chat box?­ to set
up appointments to meet with subject specialists. Link can be added to the subject guides. All
forms will go to a central point Contact Bonnie with questions/thoughts.
Ref Analytics­ will help manage recording statistics­ trial will begin early December. Training will
be scheduled before. This works independently from Chat, so you can be logged on in different
areas. This is, for now, just to record reference questions, not chat. A review of the different lists
will be covered during training, or before.

Web Services
EDS update­ Ebsco Discovery Service­ SUNY wide initiative, managed by OLIS, Stony Brook is
at stage 3, work to be done adding Aleph/Alephs, also to integrate our two Serials Solutions
accounts into a single EDS, launch date December 201??. Darren is looking for ways to
integrate this into the website.
Drupal upgrade update­Acquia Cloud
● advantages of upgrade: better, more consistent service
● Opportunity to work with DoIT,
Acquia Cloud: http://it.stonybrook.edu/services/drupal­content­management­system
Cloud service will allow the 3 stage process for managing the website. Launch approx. Spring
2014.
