Weekday Multiweek Classes
Ceramics: Play with Clay with Gloria Gilmore-House: Join us to touch clay for the first time, renew skills, and
learn new ones. This class includes hand building, throwing, extruding, the use of slips and glazes and firings in
a mid-range kiln. Students have access to the studio beyond class hours during Open Studio Hours.

Canvas & Cocktails: A Tribute to the Masters with Trish Ebbert! Looking for a Friday night out on the town?
Want to try something new? Pairing a good drink with good art has always made for a grand time, and Trish is
there to help you get creative, a little messy, and have some fun! Students will create a piece in the style of a

Stained Glass Basics with Fran Stoval: Learn everything you need to know to start your own stained glass
project. Build a solid foundation of skills and knowledge. This class will teach you where and how to buy

Drawn In with Ken Nebel: Get into the Zen of drawing, learn to see things differently, and help your hands

Classical Oil Techniques with Marina Giorgii: Learn classical techniques used by Rembrandt, Raphael, and
Michelangelo. This class is designed for students with some experience and will use acrylics or alkyds to speed

Introduction to Scratchboard with Heather Ward: Scratchboard is a board covered with a soft white clay with
a thin layer of black ink on top. Abrasive tools are used to remove the ink to reveal the white underneath. The
nature of the medium lends itself very well to high-contrast drawings, and to animals in particular, though any
subject is possible. Color may be added, offering a whole new dimension. Classes will focus on different tools
and the techniques used to simulate different textures, fixing mistakes, adding color, and preserving finished
work. Practice boards will be provided, and we will work to complete one 8"x10" drawing over the six weeks
