Abrasive tools are used to remove the ink to reveal the white underneath. The nature of the medium lends itself very well to high-contrast drawings, and to animals in particular, though any subject is possible. Color may be added, offering a whole new dimension. Classes will focus on different tools and the techniques used to simulate different textures, fixing mistakes, adding color, and preserving finished work. Practice boards will be provided, and we will work to complete one 8"x10" drawing over the six weeks (bring your own reference photo - to scale - or choose one provided).
