PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION
SABBIA INDURENTE is a polymeric sand designed for filling joints between interlocking
pavers, brick, patio block and concrete slabs.
The hardened product creates a flexible joint that binds together pavers locking them
together. The joints sealed with polymeric sand resist the growth of unsightly weeds
ensuring over time an optimal appearance. The product is suitable for new paver
installation or replacing existing joints.
COMPOSITION
SABBIA INDURENTE is a product consisting of selected calcareous or siliceous sand
gauged in appropriate grading curve and special hardened polymeric additives with low
environmental impact.
APPLICATION
Before sealing joints check that the foundation is stable, firm, properly laid and that the
joints to be sealed are clear, clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or other debris. Carefully
remove all weeds between the joints and ensure that the paver surface is completely dry.
On clean and dry pavers, apply SABBIA INDURENTE to fill the joints completely. Sweep the
sand into the joints with a stiff bristle broom. Use a plate compactor to compact
thoroughly and ensure proper distribution, avoiding voids within the joints.
Repeat filling, brushing, vibration and joint compaction and add material to fill any gaps.
Using a stiff bristle broom and a leaf blower (on low setting) carefully remove all residue
lying on the surface until the floor is completely clean and all traces of polymeric sand
have been removed from the surface.
The polymer not cleaned off the paver surface, will be difficult to remove.
To activate the polymerization and hardening process, wet the floor evenly, (set water gun
to mist or equivalent). Saturate the surface using large sweeping strokes and take care not
to remove any sand from joints. After 10’-15’ minutes wet the area again using the same
light and even spray pattern to fully activate the product. Allow SABBIA INDURENTE to dry
for 24 hours after installing before allowing foot or auto traffic on the surface.

24 months in original intact packaging and stored in a dry place.
Apply in temperatures between + 5°C and + 35°C.
24 hours of dry weather is needed during and after application for a minimum of 24 hours.
Apply on clean and dry pavers with joints clear of residue or debris.
Before wetting the product, remove the excess polymeric sand. The polymer not cleaned
off the paver surface, will be difficult to remove.
Spray water using light sweeping strokes and do not overwater.
The product cannot inhibit any plant growths rooted under the base. Before applying,
carefully remove all weeds present.
Do not use on tiles or unsealed porous products.
Do not use on non-draining surfaces or surfaces subject to strong and constant humidity.
