THE FOUNDATION STATEMENT FOR FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH
This is a statement of who we are
and how we function together as God’s people in this congregation.
We are people of God, graciously saved by God through the
sacrificial death of Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit.
In relationship with God, we are people joined together, who in faith
worship and commune faithfully, absorb God's word, and pray.
In relationship to others both inside and outside the family of God,
using God’s resources for godly ends,
in love we eagerly serve God and others, care for and encourage one another,
and share God’s good news with a desire to make all people disciples of Jesus.
As can be seen in this foundation statement, we believe God’s people of all ages are actively:
engaged in a relationship with God in worship, absorbing God’s word, and prayer
lovingly engaged with others as they serve God and others, care for and encourage one
another, and share God’s good news.
