Diss Business Park is a short distance out of the town centre and only a few
minute's walk from Diss mainline railway station. It is easily accessible from the
A140 and A143.

Who We Are
Overview
Sunrise Training Centre is based in Diss, Norfolk and offers a range of courses
to professionals as well as the general public. Our courses are also suitable
for healthcare professionals for the purpose of Continual Professional
Development (CPD). This course can also be used as evidence towards the
Care Certificate.
Target Audience – All Staff
What We Do
We offer a wide range of quality courses to suit your needs. We can deliver
courses at our training room facility in Diss, or alternatively we can come to a
venue of your choice. Please note that mileage costs may be incurred for this.
Effective Communication Awareness Course
Training Course Duration – Theory (3 hours) Half day
Certification – Upon successful completion of the
session questionnaire.
No. of Participants – 12 maximum.
Each delegate will receive a course workbook. This includes key
information notes from the course and activities to complete
throughout the session. These workbooks can be taken away by
the delegates at the end of the session to use as reference.
Course Content
This training course is based on the compliance
requirements placed by the Health & Safety at Work
(Etc.) Act of 1974, Equality Act 2010, Human Rights Act,
Data Protection Act, Care Certificate Framework. These
requirements have been used as reference points within
this training. These compliment requirements from
CQC, the Common Induction Standards and the Care
Certificate.
Apart from ensuring compliance with the above, the
training course is useful in assisting Health & Social
Care Diploma candidates with the various elements of
their learning. This course uses a range of materials
including PowerPoint notes, video clips, paper
exercises, questions, discussions, practical activity/
equipment when necessary.
At the end of the course, candidates will be able to:

at work.

Explain how to meet the communication and
language needs, wishes and preferences of
individuals.

Explain how to promote effective communication.

Describe the principles and practices relating to
confidentiality.

Explain the importance of handling information
correctly.
