Newsletter 3, 24/02/2017 Getting ready ... S at u r d ay 1 8 M a r c h — 3 w e e k s to g o COLLECTIONS THIS SUNDAY Our collection day is this SUNDAY, 26 February. Meet at the school hall at 9.30am to drive, collect or stay at the hall to sort. Drivers (with vans, trailers, utes & station wagons) are still needed. Please contact Tanya if you can help. Year 7 & 8 students play an important role as our runners, so please bring them along for the 9.30am start. Bring your younger kids too (they love to sort) and reward them with a free sausage sizzle! There’s something for everyone at the Fair this year - live music, bargain stalls, crafts, baking and a Hot Rod display. For the kids we’ll have Bubble Soccer, bouncy castles, the big slide and Fairy & Elf Land. We can’t do it without you! Thank you to the wonderful people who have volunteered to help with set up and pack up on the day! We still need lots of people to work on stalls. Can you help with the morning (11am to 1pm) or afternoon (1 – 3pm) slot? Let Tanya know if you can spare a couple of hours - see below for contact details. Stall sponsors It’s not too late to sponsor a stall. For a small donation to benefit our children, you’ll get your signage or name next to the stall as well as the opportunity to hand out flyers or business cards. Plus, we’ll promote your business on our Facebook page, in our programme and in our newsletters to school parents. Call Kylie on 021 022 79143 to discuss sponsorship. SORTING DONATIONS WEED, PLANT, TIDY The amazing amount of donations we receive, means lots of sorting – meet at the school hall on Wed 1 March at 7.30pm or Monday 6 March at 9am if you can help. The plants for our plant stall need your love! Join Mrs Graham from 1.10pm at the shade house each Monday until the Fair. If you can’t make it then, pop into Rawhiti to get the key from Jacqui to do it another day. Bags please! Ingredients We need lots of plastic bags for the Fair. If you have any clean, unripped bags take them to the school office. Donations of baking goods are looking great! So far Te Motu is leading the donations, but Rawhiti and Rua are close behind… keep the donations coming! Please also bring: Chocolates and unwanted gifts or new items for spin-the-wheel Grocery items for the shopping trolley raffle WHO TO CALL?
