World War 1 was from 1914-1918.
It started the summer of 1914
It ended on November 11, 1918.
It was 4 years, 3 months, and 2 weeks long.
Can you imagine being out there in the terrible fighting conditions for that long?
The triple alliance was Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary.
The triple entente was Russia, France, and Great Britain.
30 countries in total became involved.
More than 15 million people were killed and 20 million wounded.
World War 1 ended with the defeat of the German Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire,
Ottoman Empire, and the Russian Empire.
