Arctic ice
sculpture show
There are ice sculptures by Ilkka Karttunen on display.
There are also structures made of ice and snow, and igloos made
for overnight accommodation which you can explore. During
the ice sculpture show, the artist demonstrates how a block of
ice is turned into a sculpture.
When: December through April
Where: Arctic Wild Ice, Ranuanjärvi, 5-minute
drive from Ranua Zoo, at Posiontie 37
Includes: There are works of art by the local
artist and ice sculptor Ilkka Karttunen.
The customer can explore the ice sculptures
in the area, and gets to see the process of
turning ice into sculptures.
Photographing the ice sculptures is
permitted.
