See below for details. The free seminars aim to provide businesses with knowledge and information to understand the various solar offers available and will be presented by solar expert Lisa Miller. Businesses are being inundated with material from companies wanting to install solar panels, and, while most people agree that solar is a good thing, it’s hard to compare these offers. The seminar will outline the questions businesses should ask suppliers if you are thinking about installing solar panels. A free desktop solar analysis is available to businesses attending the seminar – note that electricity bill data will be required for businesses who choose this confidential analysis. 7/06/2016 Tuesday 12001330 Wagga Wagga Romano's Hotel, Fitzmaurice St 7/06/2016 Tuesday 18001930 Albury Dawson Room Atura Albury waggawaggasolar.eventbrite.com. au alburysolar.eventbrite.com.au Want more information, contact Kylie Walker ,Regional Clean Energy Coordinator - South West Regional Operations Group Office of Environment & Heritage M: 0477 716 757 E: [email protected] Employee / Contractor Decision Tool When you hire a worker, forget the common myth that they’re a contractor simply because they have an ABN. Your worker could have an ABN for a number of legitimate reasons, but this makes no difference to whether you should treat them as an employee or contractor. Page 3 of 6 The Employee/contractor decision tool will tell you if your worker is an employee or contractor for tax and super purposes and what this means for your business. An unsecured loan amount of $50,000 - $250,000 is available to businesses with annual revenue of $250,000 $5 million. The loan must be used to finance a single specific export contract or purchase order for the export of goods and other services from Australia. http://www.efic.gov.au/business-solutions/small-to-medium-sized-business/small-business-export-loan/ Small Business Employment Incentive Grant A small business employment incentive grant of up to $2000 is available to non-payroll tax paying businesses that hire new employees on or after 1 July 2015. The grant is payable as a lump sum after the first anniversary of employment as long as the increase in the number of employees has been maintained. STOP PRESS - changes to the grant conditions now make it even easier to qualify for a payment. Under the revised arrangements: The ‘new person in a new job’ requirement has been varied to include a new person filling an existing vacancy. Secondly, the original requirement to register for the grant within 60 days after the employment starts has been removed, for the time being, because many employers are still unaware of the grant. For further information and to register for the grant, visit the NSW Office of State Revenue website. Please note that the OSR’s website does not yet reflect these grant condition changes. http://www.osr.nsw.gov.au/grants/sbg Page 4 of 6 NSW Trustee and Guardian visits Albury Plan Ahead Days The Trustee and Guardian Wagga branch will be visiting Albury on the 3rd Wednesday of each month to provide services to the local communities.
