Alternative routes and properties can be planned to
suit a range of budgets.
Northern California in the fall is stunning, with
warm days and cool nights. If you have time to
linger, we suggest spending additional nights in
Sonoma to sample the food and wine and browse
the eclectic shops and galleries. San Francisco is
a destination in itself with theatres, world class
shopping, waterfront restaurants and the cable
cars to ride. Perhaps take a ferry across the Bay
to Tiburon and Sausalito, experience the thrill of
a helicopter ride above the Golden Gate Bridge
or watch the street entertainers at Fisherman’s
Wharf.
Golden History
This route takes in some of the State’s most
beautiful scenery, around Sutter Creek the rolling
hills turn from green to gold, and in Redwood
National Park the mist drifts between the giant
trees. If you like to walk add days in Yosemite
– we can arrange rental homes for families or
parties of up to 8. Why not add a stay at Lake
Tahoe, between Sutter Creek and Lassen, or
a night or two at Crater Lake Lodge between
Klamath Falls and Grant’s Pass – time at either
will enhance your experience.
