Shannon Salsburg
Monmouth University
Head Softball Coach
Shannon Salsburg was named the head coach of
the Monmouth University Softball program in
September 2016. Under her leadership, the
Hawks have shattered numerous offensive and
pitching records and played in the championship
game of the MAAC Softball Tournament both
years. During her short tenure, Coach Shannon
has coached 10 all-conference players.
Prior to her time at Monmouth University, Coach
Shannon spent 9 years as the head softball
coach at Bowling Green State University. She
was named the 2012 MAC Conference Coach of
the Year and coached 27 all-conference players.
Camp Staff
The camp staff consists of coaches and players
from the Monmouth University’s Softball
program.

Offensive Camps
Power Hitting Camp: 16 campers/session
All Ages, Session 3, 6, & 8
The camp is designed to introduce our daily hitting drills.
Emphasis will be placed on creating more power and
consistency in your swing from load to extension. Drills
will be introduced for all 3 parts of the plate.

Defensive Camps
Pitching Camp: 10 campers/session
7th Grade and Up, Session 9
The camp is designed to showcase the daily drills used
to enhance our endurance, location and overall fundamentals of our pitching staff. Campers will have a chance
to do breakdown drill work and throw full during the
camp. ALL CAMPERS MUST BRING A CATCHER.
Catching Camp: 10 campers/session
All ages, Session 5
Join Coach Salsburg and her catching staff as they teach
the everyday fundamentals and techniques focused on
by our catching staff. Catchers will be taken through
drills emphasizing receiving, blocking, foot work, throwing and much more. All catchers must bring their own
gear.
Infield Camp: 16 campers/session
High School Age Only, Session 1 & 11
Campers will be introduced to the every day drills used
to develop consistency in our infield play. The camp will
focus on throwing mechanics, footwork, glove work and
more. We will only accept 8 middles and 8 corners. Catching will not be a part of this camp.
Outfield Camp: 16 campers/session
All Ages, Session 12
The camp is set-up to improve your outfield play by
teaching our daily drills and techniques. Outfielders will
focus on throwing mechanics, footwork, angles, do-ordies, and more.
Live Camps: LIMITED SPACE
5 hitters, 2 catchers, 3 pitchers per session
9th Grade & Up, Session 2, 4, 7, 10 & 13
The camp is designed to provide live camp experience
with immediate feedback. Campers will be taken
through numerous game-like situations. Campers may
only sign up to be either a hitter, a catcher or a pitcher.
Space is extremely limited!

will be charged for walk-ups/same day
registration.

MEDICAL FORMS
Medical forms MUST be completed by a
parent or guardian. FORMS MUST BE
BROUGHT IN ON THE FIRST DAY OF
CAMP. A mailed form will not be
accepted! A separate medical form must be
completed for each camp your child will be
attending. Copies are accepted. A child
will not be allowed to participate without
a medical form.
