Wildlife’s Conservation & Outdoor Recreation Education (C.O.R.E.) This course is required for anyone aged 10 & older to obtain a B.C. Resident Hunter Number Card. This course is required for anyone aged 12 & older interested in obtaining a firearms license (PAL) for non-restricted firearms. Course covers: ·The evolution of firearms, major parts, types and actions · Basic firearms safety practices · Ammunition · Operating firearm actions · Safe handling and carry procedures · Firing techniques and procedures · Responsibilities of the firearms owner/user; and ·safe storage, display, transportation and handling of non-restricted firearms. This course is required for anyone aged 18 & older interested in upgrading a firearms license (PAL) to include restricted firearms.
