Students were informed earlier this week to bring various school supplies
to class.
Before beginning the activity, students should go over the list of
vocabulary terms located at the beginning of Chapter 3 (pg. 75) (About 10
minutes)
To begin the activity, pass out notecards, tape, glue, and markers to
students (This activity should take about 15 minutes)
 Ask students to empty out their backpacks of the school supplies
 Then have students write the name of the school supplies on a
notecard and have them attach the notecard to the school
supplies.
 Example: Student would write “la carpeta” on a notecard and
attach it to their folder.
Then have students practice using this new vocabulary in conversation
with their partner in the class (About 15 minutes).
 Students should follow the following model (also found on pg. 76
in the text):
 A: ¿Que está en la mochila?
B: Hay una carpeta para la clase de inglés.

other vocabulary words.
5. At the end of class pick 4-5 groups to demonstrate the conversation in
front of the class. (About 5 minutes).
1. While the students are working on the activity, the teacher should be
walking around helping the students with pronunciation and answering
any questions there might be.
2. By the end of this lesson, students should be able to use the new
vocabulary properly in daily conversation.
3. By writing the Spanish name on their school supplies it allows students to
see a concrete representation of the word.
