On the attached paper students are to write
word problems that result in the SUM or DIFFERENCE equaling 100.
They may draw & color pictures if they want to
.
Example:
1.
Sam brought 65 candies to the party. Jen brought 35 candies to the party. Together they had 100 candies.
65+35=
100.
Or
2. Jen brought 70 cupcakes to the bake sale. Sam brought 75 cupcakes to the bake sale. They sold 45
cupcakes. How many cupcakes did they have left over?
70+75=145
145-45=
100
Try to use a different equation and facts each time. Don’t use the same numbers over and over. Just have the
word problem answer equal one hundred.
