The holiday season is officially here! We
welcome the joy and cheer at S.I.S. and
encourage everyone to share love and
goodness and kindness every day!
It’s hard to believe the first semester of
the 2016-17 school year is almost over. It
has been a great year so far, and we are
looking forward to continuing the great
things that are happening here for your
children.
Please plan to join us at 5:00 on
December 5th for our monthly SAC/APT
meeting. We want and need your
support! The meetings are brief, but
important. We will meet in the media
center.
Not long after we return to school
following the winter break, all students
will take the i-Ready diagnostic test
(testing begins January 9th). This is the 2nd
of three diagnostic tests the students will
take this year. It will provide valuable
information for teachers as we continue to
prepare students for state testing in the
spring as well as the next grade level.
We appreciate your support and ask you
to continue encouraging children to do
their very best every day!

Student Government News
Parents, please plan now to save
your child’s out-grown winter coat
for our “Coat Drive” which will begin soon. We will
send more details home, but please, just remember
not to throw away your old winter coats. We’ll
need all sizes!
SGA Fundraiser alert: We will begin our candy bar
fundraiser in January Please be on the lookout for
more information soon!
Our satsuma sales were very successful! Thank you
for your support!
